We recently had the pleasure of visiting Pinto Thai and on arrival found the restaurant full. Luckily I had pre booked and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We look forward to returning soon.

We normally go to another thai in newton abbot, but my mum was given few good reviews of here so we gave it a try.
My dad not a fan of chilli so I ordered him pad thai. He loved it.

Our first visit since they reopened as a restaurant. Having been to Thailand and loved their food I can say without doubt, the food took me straight back to the streets of Bangkok. I can recommend the massaman curry (as authentic as it gets). Prompt service with attentive but not too in your face. Lovely decor and a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. Will be visiting this place a lot.

Really pleasant atmosphere. Calm music, simple and tasteful decor. We went in early evening and mid week, and had good service and very tasty food. I wish I had ordered more accompanying dishes to try as all very nice.
Everyone should try this food, it is amazing, and fast, very short wait. Tried by accident when some fella was kicking off outside now my new favourite takeaway. I might even start carrying a fork just in case the opportunity arises so I don't have to wait to eat at home. Should be one of the seven wonders of Newton Abbot.
EXCELLENT! We did not have a reservation on a Sat evening but they were happy to accommodate us is we were happy with either the last two tables. They wanted us to be sure that we were happy with the tables offered which was very thoughtful.
The FOOD was PERFECT. Squid starter excellent. Veggie spring rolls were perfectly acceptable but the second course - soups were absolutely out of this world. They were fragrant, aromatic with many different flavours and cram packed with the freshest vegetables only lightly cooked. 10 / 10. The duck main was the best had in a very long time and the satay vegetable stir fry was such good quality. Even better than this for VEGETARIANS - EVERY MEAL COMES WITH A VEGETARIAN OPTION!! Really fabulous experience.

Food was excellent. Got a large takeaway for a get together with a bunch of friends. Ordered it a couple of hours in advance and they were very helpful, we asked that the containers be marked so we knew what they were and for one to be egg free due to allergy and all no problem. Each container had a little sticker with the menu number on and a message like "no egg" "pork" where there were duplicates with variations.
Unfortunately there was a communication error between the kitchen and the front of house when I turned up and I was given 2 bags instead of 3 but did not notice the error until I got home (20 minutes away - not their fault). Tried to call but engaged, so drove back, at first they were polite but assertive that they had definitely given me the whole order but after a short while and communication with the kitchen it was realised that there should have been 3 bags. At this point they apologised and gave me some free wine and beer and all was resolved.
Would have given 5 stars, but for the error, as the food was great, especially the laab mou. The mistake would not stop me returning as they were polite and friendly throughout and apologised when they realised that they were in the wrong, plus it is an easy error to make.
Been to this restaurant twice and both times it was absolutely amazing. Food is gorgeous and the staff were excellent. Only wish we lived closer. Well done to all. 😀

Best Thai restaurant around to get authentic, good tasting Thai cuisine. We've been converted from our usual Chinese and Indian as the food is so good. Only problem is that it's now becoming a weekly habit!
This brilliant authentic Thai restaurant deserves every praise. The food is freshly prepared and the friendly staff very attentive and polite.
Especially the owner who is a true "tri rak" of a gentleman.
The King Prawns and chilli sauce were the best I have ever tasted and the Satay sauce was so delicious with the Pork I could have eaten the whole meal again!

The best Thai food we have had outside Thailand, very friendly staff. If you are in the area, we highly recommend it. Definitely will be coming back, shame so far from London. :)
