The Elizabethan Inn - Newton Abbot - Photo album

A gem of a restaurant tucked away down a narrow country road. Food portions were very generous and absolutely delicious. Staff were very helpful. Only slight negative was that it was very quiet, only 3 other tables dining so not much of an atmosphere. There was a nice soundtrack of quiet music in th
It’s been about twenty years since I was last here, and it’s still a fabulous little restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection, the staff were lovely and friendly and the dessert (not pictured because I dived in too quickly) was heavenly. Highly recommend 😃
Fabulous meal for our wedding anniversary weekend, at one of our favourite places in the area. We shared tiger prawns to start which were covered in the lightest batter I’ve ever had. Our venison ragout was exceptional and the vegetables delicious. We couldn’t manage a pudding so I had coffee which
What an amazing experience at this lovely pub restaurant. On Sunday at 4pm we decided to have an extra late lunch on our way to a concert in Torquay. We had a very warm welcome, firstly by the young lady as we walked through the door and then by the waiter who took our order. Nothing was too much t
We eat here on a regular basis. The food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is cosy, yet the tables are well spaced out. I highly recommend the Elizabethan. You would not be disappointed.
Superb food, and excellent service. Lovely people there.
Had a delightful 3 course meal here, the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was sublime and the pub was very tastefully furnished. The peppercorn sauce was probably the best I've ever had, would highly recommend and will definitely be returning if I'm in the area.
Went to a birthday party there. It was wonderful. We had a carvery. The lamb was gorgeous. They even brought out extra roast potatoes and veg! Fantastic atmosphere. Beautiful setting and good food. What more could you want?
What a lovely little place. Such polite and attentive staff. We had the locally sourced haddock and chips and baked cod, prepared fresh and so delicious. The interior is charming makes up for a perfect evening meal. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.
Excellent dinning experience, following covid regulations we were made to feel very welcome and not rushed through our meal, excellent waitress service from the young lady that served us. The menu was limited but still having enough choose to suit every palate, i had the sunday roast which was cooke
Excellent as usual. One of our guests commented that the Sunday lunch was as near to home cooked as he had ever tasted in a restaurant*****
The Elizabethan Inn is one of my favourite places to eat. The service is excellent, the food is incredible, it's a lovely cosy old inn with a log burner. Always try and leave room for puddings 👌 😊 They are to die for! Would recommend booking a table, just to be safe.
Gorgeous little country pub in the middle of nowhere. Service and food was amazing. Priced very reasonably. Friendly atmosphere. Will definately be returning soon.
Absolutely fantastic meal. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly polite and the ambience was light, warm and friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone.

What a find, hidden away down a typical Devon narrow lane but we'll worth a visit. The building has a beautiful extension which can hold large parties. I cannot tell you how good the food here is, exquisite! Every plate finished and every belly full. Your plate will be full of spectacular quality fo
