It maybe doesn't have the elegance and finesse of some of the other Synge and Byrne establishesments BUT for its location it is just about perfect for the family customer, biker, walker or anyone who is out to enjoy the Park and surrounding countryside. Firstly to mention there’s a baby changing station located here which is very handy.
The coffee here is some of the nicest that I’ve had in recent months. There’s a good range of food available including sandwiches, wraps and hot food options.

Little gem we chanced across with the cafés nearby function. We had been walking in ravensdale Park area and were peckish.

Visited Synge & Byrne at Kilbroney the other week and only gave it 4 stars and in response, the owner asked me for the opportunity to gave them 5 stars with another visit....so here it is, albeit it at Slieve Gullion.

Lovely food as always at Synge & Btrne. The setting and surroundings are beautiful.
Given the lack of competition around the area they keep their prices reasonable and the staff are friendly. You can sit inside or out if the weather is permissible.

Toilets are up at the main car park so just be aware there are none at the cafe.

Nice food. Plenty to choose from. Salads are great. Good coffee. It gets busy inside and there's not much room so be prepared to eat on one of the many benches outside
