WOW, been here before, never fails. We had the Indonesian fish Curry on Coconut Rice. (Without mussels). My Mrs had same with mussels. SO fresh & tasty. Whilst watching the sunset. This place is a definite must! Seating inside (lovely warm friendly setting) & out on the veranda. Large bar with a large draught selection, spirits, wines & Cocktails. This is really tasty fresh food. Compliments to chef & staff. 5 stars 🌟 Dave

Great location for a bar right on the beach with stunning views. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Didn't eat there but the food that came out for other tables looked great!

The place was super friendly and had a great seafront view. Nice chilled lounge inside for drinks. Food was fab. The squid was melting in your mouth and the mussels were by far the best I had in a long time. Their local gin is also a must try. Hope Newquay will look into having more places like this.

Fast friendly service, highly recommend the burgers which are delicious and succulent ( husband was tempted to get a second one until I talked him out of it) Price good for what you get. Service was prompt and with a smile. Hidden gem off the high street with lovely view of the sea.

We booked a 3 night break as there was a 3 for 2 deal, which was a bargain and worked out cheaper then the Premier inn! We arrived in the dark, could hear the sea but couldn't quite work out where it was. Checked in with the most helpful and friendly receptionist's. What wasn't explained at booking was the Β£50 per night hold that is added to your credit card. This can be used to pay for meals etc and refunded at the end of your visit. Lots of information given and a booking made in the Cove restaurant, we headed to our room, floor 2. On entering it smelt amazing, later I found out this was the toiletries! The room was spotlessly clean, well stocked hot drinks, small fridge, huge bed and a sea view, but it was dark! Is have to wait until the morning! The Cove restaurant was beautifully devoted with Christmas treats and lights. Not a huge menu but something for everyone. I opted for the pork belly which was so good, while my husband had the Halloumi burger also as good! Great cocktails to wash it down with. After eating we had a nosey around and then ended up in The Elements bar which had live entertainment and more cocktails! A great night's sleep in a huge bed, the doors do bang quite loudly though and the noise does travel a bit! The next morning when we opened the curtains I was overwhelmed with the view, it was overlooking the whole of Fistral beach, amazing, I could have sat there all day watching the surfers and the waves. Breakfast had lots of choices, I opted for Granola and full English! the staff where all very friendly and helpful, taking requests for changes to the breakfast was never a problem. Back to the toiletries, Gaia brand and smelt amazing! Full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, body lotion and handwash. Fluffy big bathroom towel plus towels and robes to wear to the swimming pool. Also included was the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. We only fitted in one visit, but it was worth it! Esp bearing able to walk back to our room in the robes supplied. There is also a cinema room. showing a range of kids films all day long and a vending machine next to it for snacks! A guest laundry to wash, dry and iron tour clothes. Kids soft play are just off the restuarant, pool tables and table football. They've thought of everything! We were due to move rooms after night one but after asking if we could pay extra to stay in a sea view room, they checked the bookings and we stayed in the original room with no extra cost, result! We spent far too long drinking hot and cold drinks in the lounge watching the sea and the world going by! The walk into Newquay is 15-20 mins, taxi was about Β£8. Lots to do in the town, independent cafes, pubs, beaches and walks! The staff at the hotel were all lovely and very attentive, nothing was too much for them. The radiator in our room wasn't working but within a few hours it was! We had a couple of other minor issues due to there being a big private function in the hotel, but we were listened to and answers given! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Due to the private function they didn't stop, looking after everyone! Always with a smile Would I go there? Too right I would and already planning a trip in February for my Birthday. Thank you The Esplanade for a lovely few days of R&R, we'll be back again. I forgot to mention the shortbread biscuits in to room !!!

Fantastic food, fantastic service, great views and have options for vegetarian / vegan too. Can get quite busy so best to book your table in advance but would definitely return here as the "spiced cauliflower tacos" are one of the best vegan dishes I have tried. Compliments to the chef on this dish... The "dirty fries" are also very very nice, my only gripe with these was there was too much gravy (sauce) added. But even so I would order these again :-). Staff were very friendly, polite and made out visit very enjoyable.

The bars outside space is really nice its just a shame its not facing the sun in the evening. The drinks are well priced as well as the food even though we did not eat there. We did however spy on the food being served and it all looked really good. The staff were really good and kept checking to see if you needed drinks etc. If your passing its worth dropping in for a drink. We have now eaten here and the loaded fries are amazing as seen in the picture πŸ˜‹

Its a harbour based restaurant so expect a sea food menu. But not totally. Good kids menu and great food. Gluten free menu available, local beers. Local muscles. Sea views. Great sun set. I pre booked a table can get busy. No car park

Nice view, good food, friendly service. My girlfriend and I came here for a bite of lunch after exploring the town for a short while. I have to say I was very pleased with my experience here! The waitress that served us was extremely friendly and the service was very quick, albeit maybe because they didn't seem to be too busy at the time. Once the food came the portions were very generous and the mussels were beautifully cooked in a very creamy and tasty sauce (excellent to dip your chips into). My girlfriend really enjoyed her burger and remarked at just how good the cappuccino she had was! I would definitely recommend visiting and would certainly consider coming back to eat if I was in the area!

My photos are just the starters chicken wings which were supreme and calamari bellissimo You have to get amongst it, go primal you won't regret it unless it's your first date.. We returned for more chicken of course and tacos low and slow we left very full and satisfied. Had a lovely view of towan beach the restaurant was busy but not noisy, great staff and amazing variety from a small menu.

Cheap and cheerful. The food was great and the staff was pleasant. There are a few different types of seating options like sofas and dinning tables. The tea came with a tea pot an a little container of milk which I thought was a good touch. The only thing I didn't like about the place was the toilets, the sinks were a bit dirty.

The food was a great choice, only for lunch but the menu was perfect on a cold, stormy day. Out of the wind, which helped but we could still see the Atlantic Ocean... great food we had, good selection, of drinks as well as food.. I opted for sliced chicken was very tasty. Would come back again and bring some friends... loved it.
