I wouldn't necessarily recommend going here on a weekend night or when the footys on as it does tend to attract some sights and get a bit rowdy. It's also not the best looking building from the outside.
But credit where its due. The inside is good and we sat to have breakfast with an amazing view over towan beach. We're staying literally next door with the same view but we're not cooking this time.
Breakfast really reasonably priced and they came out exceptionally presented with the taste to match.
Staff really friendly and helpful.
Dog friendly too.

Got the triple buffalo burger which was lacking sauce but burgers tasted juicy and freshly cooked
Chip portion was quite small compared to other walkabouts I have eaten at but still great value for money
Amazing views onto the beach and bay
The Queen’s funeral was on whilst we were camping in Newquay so decided to watch it in Walkabout. Service was ok, felt the staff could be more enthusiastic but I understand. Drinks were all good, toilets a bit grim but not the worst I’ve seen.
I think really the place feels like it needs a refresh/refit. I understand the theme (toilets should be called Dunnys….) but whilst I’m sure the staff work hard to keep cleanliness to a certain level, the overall standard needs to be higher - but that’s down to the accountants investing in the place!!
It’s been here for years, the last time I went inside was back in the Run-to-the-Sun days and I do t think it’s been done out since.
Great sea views at the back of the bar though, and the TV’s have good quality screens.
Huge venue with stunning views and some nice spacious outdoor seating. Plenty of food and drinks offers. Only negative is it really doesn't look inviting from the outside and you could easily assume its run down or even derelict. Please repaint it 🙏
Food was great and delivered within a good time period. Staff were friendly and helpful. Views were stunning. We arrived on 'Singing Bingo' night (Tuesdays) and would highly recommend doing this more often. Very popular and lots of fun!
Walkabout is a lovely big and bright indoor area. I personally like to sit outside with my drink and admire the view even though it was wet and misty today. Great food drinks and friendly staff. What's not to like. 🙂
Always come here when in town, it's always a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Great food, although I do miss the vegimite sandwich... with a nice outside area that has great views when it's sunny!
Great location with fab sea views. Good range of drinks and food looked good but we didn't get any. Outside could do with a refurb but definitely one for any Newquay visitors
Great sports bar, pool tables readily available and great place to hang out great view out to sea as well wish I had some better photos, on of my favourite bars in Newquay I’d say beer on tap is good wish there was more selection but it doesn’t really matter when you’re here! 👍👍

Great vibes. Lovely views. Food takes long to arrive. Don’t use the app for ordering drinks. It would be quicker if you stand at the counter.
Overall happy with the experience, food was decent and service was fast and efficient. Guy behind the bar didn't fully understand the menu so took a little bit extra time getting our order correct and chicken wings where slightly over cooked. Nacho's portion was massive!!!
Love this bar, probally my favorite in the UK, door staff are brilliant, great deals on drinks, live music and events always something going on. Fantastic atmosphere.
It's a bit like a giant Witherspoon's! But in a good way, afternoons up to 7pm is happy hour really cheap for sitting overlooking the beach with a cheap pint and always loads of seating inside and outside.
Plus they are games like pool tables and Table Tennis
Food wise the menu resembles Witherspoon's, I got a plate of hot wings and my O/H got Mac & Cheese over chips bothe were really good and not a bad price.
We actually called in for a quick afternoon pint or two before going and getting changed for an evening out but we never left till around 11pm!
I will say after 7 the glasses go away and plastic one's come out and a lot younger crowed come in.
To some it up it's a family pub with cheap drink and decent food all afternoon up till 7pm then it livens up and has live bands, Karaoke nights ect
