There's a new kid in town, as the saying goes, a welcome addition to the standard fare that seems to welcome only a few newcomers (the arrival last year of Bush Whackers was somewhat of the last solo entrant). And no worries to those of you wanting just a traditional meal for a decent price. How's this, a lightly battered piece of hake that will best most any of the fish and chips you've tried elsewhere. Or a barbeque ribs special topped with two king prawns as a Thursday night special for just £12. Throw in a few bits of creative Spanish flair and you've got quite the variety to choose from. Might I recommend the mussels? Chef Maciej, down from London, has partnered with Lee and another chef from Chicago to pacify most any taste, and brought the drinks and service to match. Sure, have your steak & kidney suet pie at the Red Lion (delicious and the oldest such establishment in the town); but when you just want a break of the traditional, maybe something to go with that cheesecake drizzled with passion fruit coulis and accompanied with a freshly made mango sorbet, then stop by...but hurry, they close in mid-December and won't reopen until the end of March (he's off to cook in Switzerland during the slow winter season). Check out their menu on the website; he is always experimenting and now with miso and other umami flavors...average half order £7 and average meal £14.

Staff were so attentive and knowledgeable about their products: the cocktails were amazing, and the drinks menu was inventive and unique. AJ on the bar catered to our every need and happily made us custom cocktails too without us feeling like we were being a hassle. I'd really recommend to anyone looking for a few chilled drinks with friends, or some cocktails before they venture into town.

"A Refreshing approach on sea food" After seing positive reviews we had to give this place a go, and we were not disappointed. As soon as we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by the extra friendly, super smiling staff who took us to our table. On first impressions the restaurant was lovely. Clean and comfortable. The decor is light and modern with images and references of the ocean.. We were served by the friendliest of waiters who took our drinks orders and kindly recommended certain dishes from the menu. For starters we chose rock shrimp Tempura and the Honolulu king prawns...The wait was short, the food came out, and came out in style. Presented really well and looked and smelt amazing! We shared our starters and put them away in a record time..they were lovely. For mains we took the Salmon Teriyaki with jasmin rice and the Ceviche Barracuda..sliced octopus with black tiger prawns, red onion cucumber coriander and a delicious sweet Barracuda sauce. These meals were delicious and plentiful. During our courses staff were always around if we needed anything. Again, super friendly and chatty -) which we like. We feel that for the quality of food and service we recieved , the prices are very good and we would highly recommend a visit. We went on a friday evening for 7pm and didnt need to book although a call upfront is always advisable. All in all a really lovely restaurant, fantastic food that dosnt break the bank and staff who clearly care for their customers. Thankyou and will definitely be returning. Keisha & Craig

Great dog friendly place despite my dog being a bit of a loud mouth idiot (he's only a puppy) my daughter and I were made to feel welcome. I only had time for a small bite. I had the honalulu prawns, they were lovely. My daughter doesn't do seafood so she was very adventurous and had some fries! 😂 My husband met us there and on the way asked a taxi driver where the restaurant was, apparently it doesn't exist anymore and shut years ago! Might need a bit more advertising? 😉
