Ordered the cod and chips. Made to order as nothing ready to go but guarantees freshness. Worth the wait. A good sized piece of fish. Lovely coloured and just the right crispy batter. Chips really nice too. Sometimes fish and chips can turn my stomach with the grease but the meal was not greasy and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. Great fish and chips!

Excellent food! The cod and chips was probably the nicest takeaway meal I have ever eaten. The fish melted in the mouth while the batter was crispy and light. The chips were delicious and not at all greasy. Portion sizes were good. The staff were very friendly. Overall, very satisfied customers with happy tummies!

Good traditional fish n chip shop. Cooked fresh and lovely chips. Worth the wait for the cooking. Reasonable prices, went there twice.

The only chip shop in the area that I could find that had vegan options. They also used vegatable oil for frying. The food was nice, not overdone or greasy but I was disappointed with the size of the sausages. They are about half the size that you would expect. The chips portions were on the smaller side, so we ordered another. This made the higher prices in general more difficult to justify although I did not compare them to other local shops. I would consider visiting again to try the other options.

Lovely and fresh. Chips are great. Very short walk around the corner you can enjoy the amazing food with a great view. £7 for a small cod and chips, for small its a decent size and not that expensive considering where its based.

For many years I went without fish and chips due to my coeliac disease, I was so happy to find a chip shop that provides a gluten free menu,. Thank you, had to have a little wait as my fish was cooked fresh, it was amazing, batter was crispy the fish was white and flakey, would definitely go again and again, 100 % must go back 😋

Ate here on a Sunday evening. Ordered 1 Gluten free cod & chips with a sausage in batter and 2 normal large cod & chips with a sausage in batter with curry sauce. All cooked fish while you wait - yes there's a queue but definitely worth the wait. Everyone eating throughly enjoyed everything. Delicious, chunky fish and perfect chips. So nice to feel included with the same items available for GF even with GF vinegar. Very good pricing and nice size portions. Definitely be revisiting Delicious!

Pretty sure this is the only vegan (oil) chippy in Newquay. So it's a good thing they are bloody brilliant! Food is always exceptional, lovely staff. We've been plenty.

Been twice , last year and then again today. Having celiac disease means I cant have gluten and sometimes miss a good chippy . To be able to have battered sausage, chips and gravy was amazing. Batter was so crispy, chips where perfectly cooked and the gravy was the best . Cant wait to come back again . Thankyou.

£9 for cod and chips smack in the middle of Newquay, you'd think it'd be tiny? Suprisingly good portion size, quickly made fresh (you wait outside once order placed) and genuinely well priced! Can't complain. Reccomend crossing the road after and going down the side of the amusements wjere you can sit in a sheltered garden in the cliff and enjoy one of the best views you'll ever have eating fish and chips

Very busy. Chippys all seem to close early .. this was the last one we found open. Very Very busy. Took 40mins to get our food. Large peas and curry sauce is more like small so get double. Nice food. We all enjoyed.

Nothing special. For me I thought the fish was overcooked and dry. greasy. It was OK. The good thing. it is fried vegetable oil. Spent £20 odd.

A very enjoyable take away meal and good value too. We went here on a Friday evening in October and it was quiet. We ordered two cod and chips to take away, and these were fresh cooked and ready in just over ten minutes. The lady who took our order and payment was very friendly and pleasant. We paid by card, which they accept if the cost is over £5. As of the end of October 2018, contactless payment is now available. The food was still hot when we got back to our camp site. We'd each be given a tartar sauce pouch included in the price. The fish, batter and chips were great. Only rarely have we had better fish and chips, and for what we paid it was excellent value. We did a second visit during our stay. Same good quality food. As it was a Saturday it took a little longer, but worth the wait. The fact this restaurant uses vegetable oil makes a lot of difference to the flavour too. Much more preferable to the beef flavour others have locally. The eat in restaurant was closed on our visit. It seats around 24 people in total and the shop and restaurant are step free.

This became more than just a chippy visit for us! After a day a fistral beach the plan was always to walk to the Harbour for Fish and Chips with our two young children. However this soon turned into abit of a disaster when my husband took some of our beach things to the car and locked the keys in the car! After and 2 and half hour wait for the AA they called to say they didn’t have the correct equipment to open the car! By this point luckily for us my sister was also on holiday in Newquay so had collected our children who were cold and in swimwear. After the news we decided to walk to get some food and try and get a taxi to collect the children. We had already looked at reviews and were going to Harbour chippy. Upon arriving we ordered our food. Whilst waiting I asked the lady who was packing up for the day is there were any taxi ranks around and mentioned our bad luck to which she pointed me in the right direction. I thought great we will get our food and walk up to the direction but in the meantime the lady (who’s name I think was Jenny) took it upon herself to ring not one but two taxi companies for us. We got through and ordered a taxi to Holywell bay where we needed to collect our children from with the taxi firm saying it would be £20 (in cash which we didn’t have on us so would have needed to go get some). Jenny said I’ll wrap your food twice so it doesn’t go cold and then she bagged it up for us and put £20 in the bag for a taxi! I was speechless for someone who we had just met to be so kind to ring a taxi for us and do that was just amazing after such a stressful time and it one I’ll never forget! The added bonus was the chips, fish and sides were all so fresh despite it being later at night. Thank you Harbour Chippy for amazing food and restoring faith in the human kind we will always be grateful!
