5 star always! Great staff, great food, great location. As locals we go here as often as we can. 5 star shop/surf school next door too.
Organising my birthday for 20+ guests was bliss via email and through their Facebook group. Everything was perfectly served and the food was reasonable and extremely yummy! Would come back as the service was 5*!! I defiantly recommend Wax & am excited to go to go back and also to visit their venue in Watergate Bay too! Thanks to all the staff especially, Hannah, Sam B, Sam C, Chris & Leigh, your all stars! Ps the photo booth is a great idea! We have some great pics for memories!
Went for a meal at Wax this evening, loved it! Great food, fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Food took a little while to come out but we were told about this so absolutely no issue for us, definitely worth the wait! Thanks Wax we will definitely be back again and again and again
Been here twice now and we love the place. Food is a little expensive but we had the deal on the burgers so that made it affordable as even though the food is nice I think £26 for two burgers and chips is way too expensive. I would definitely go back as its a nice relaxed atmosphere and the views are amazing, well worth a visit especially if you can get a deal on the food
Love WAX beautiful setting we pop down every sunny day off we have... Food is to die for, amazing staff and great surf rustic style :) Even if you aren't eating, great to pop down for a rattler �
Wax is a fantastic place and we have visited a few times - if anything to improve on I would ask if you could have your white wine chilled more ( not nice warm ) apart from that the food is great fabulous location and friendly staff 😊 xo
Been a few times and have always had a great experience. Perfect place after a walk on the beach with the dog. Super dog friendly, Luna had her drink freshly bought to the table before us!! We had full on Sunday lunch, all the food was amazing, glad we'd had a walk before. No rush or pressure, friendly staff. We'll return again, lucky we're local! Thanks WAX team.

Lovely atmosphere overlooking the bay. Helpful staff and lovely food. Great coffee too! Why not take a visit! A great place to spend your time while watching the amazing sunsets.
We booked for a meal. Had great friendly service and food arrived as quickly as I'd expect. Was dog friendly and fairly buzzing. Wonderful location. Yes you order at the bar, not a problem. We had the chicken burgers. Wings and a special the bonfire burger. All good quality hot and fresh. Perfect after a day walking and surfing
Location is fantastic, food is great and the staff are lovely. We were looked after a very nice staff member whom took pity on two of us being injured. He was very handsome too (I know that has no bearing on the establishment, but makes it that more enjoyable)
Nice place to eat just up from Watergate Bay Beach and over the road from the main car park. Average menu of burgers, pizzas, nachos and the like. Dogs are welcome. Food was served quick even for a Saturday night. Friendly service.

Had a lovely meal here, the food was really tasty with gosport sizes and such a lovely atmosphere! There was good music playing and the staff were all really friendly! I had the Bay burger which was delicious as were the chips it came with. Say outside watching all the surfers come and go from the carpark.
Food is always banging and isn't too expensive. Staff are lovely and all of it is dog friendly. Location is right by a public car park and a 3 minute walk down to the beach.
Been to WAX more times than I can count. At Christmas they have a log burner going - perfect after a dog walk and chilly surf, in the summer it's chilled and lots of seating available. Food is always great, service is always fantastic. We'll always be back - seems like the "bad" reviews are when the whole place is heaving, and everywhere will be struggling to keep up.
We had a great meat at Wax Watergate Bay. They were very welcoming, and the fact they’re dog friendly is a huge bonus. Such a cool surf vibe. High recommended.
We stayed close by, it can get really busy and then service is understandably slow but staff are great and friendly! Pizzas are fantastic! We didn't dine in, we ordered to take away and it was fabulous each time. Sriracha wings, fish and chips, haloumi strips and thin crispy based pizzas were all amazing!! Salt and pepper squid, onion rings and BBQ ribs were not the best.
Was a fine place. Buzzing with people. Had an interesting situation where the waitress handed our order of food, (which was one order of chips that took about 40 minutes to someone else), some food was taken by the other person, it was returned to the waitress as that person didn’t order it, and then about 2 minutes later it appeared on our table. They didn’t take it off the bill, never said anything, no apology, etc. (maybe they didn’t realize I watched the situation) etc. I’ve never had a situation like this happen. She laughed when it happened. Nevertheless, tasted fine. Probably just a fluke and perhaps the young lady was new to the job.

Great place with a good view of the bay. Food was delicious, fresh and excellent value compared to the rest of the options. The outside deck is both covered and open which allows for all weather ☺️ will definitely be going back.

A few drinks and shared a pepperoni pizza. Pizza cooked fresh, so had to wait a little, but well worth it. Sat out on the upstairs decking and enjoyed the view.
Ample parking opposite. Half price menu on Wednesdays (just ring and book ahead for wax Wednesday) all food is freshly made to order and yummy! Beautiful sunset views made our evening

Happy and friendly staff. We did go on a sunny Bank Holiday so the service was very slow, 45 mins for food without warning. Wonderful location.
We'd been searching for somewhere to eat with gf options for a while and found wax. So impressed with the options, portion size, and their amazing gluten free burger buns. We're locals so can't wait to pop back again.
