Went to the newquay wax as the breakfast menu was launched and my beautiful food loving friend was visiting ! We came as a group of 4 at around 10.30am . It was busy bit didn't seem too many staff . We had a lovely welcome and told that there would be a wait on food which was fine as we wasn't rushing. Okay so the wait was longer than expected.. 40mins and some people had complained . But . When we got the food it was worth the wait ! I had the breakfast bap and I was not dissapointed my friends had the 2.0 and again loved it . Crispy bacon amazing ! The staff where all attentive . The mancunian staff member i think it was Hannah was brilliant.
Organising my birthday for 20+ guests was bliss via email and through their Facebook group. Everything was perfectly served and the food was reasonable and extremely yummy! Would come back as the service was 5*!! I defiantly recommend Wax & am excited to go to go back and also to visit their venue in Watergate Bay too! Thanks to all the staff especially, Hannah, Sam B, Sam C, Chris & Leigh, your all stars! Ps the photo booth is a great idea! We have some great pics for memories!
Had heard good things about here so we decided to try it. Not at all disappointed. Great food, great cocktails and amazing staff. Thoroughly recommend Wax. Hannah you’re a star. Everyone was great and the atmosphere was buzzing. Many thanks, we’ll be back ���

Came in here on a Saturday night. What a cool venue. It used to be a bank and the oldsafe doors are still there. There was a DJ playing really good music. We had a couple of drinks here, before moving on to another venue. Definitely worth a visit.
Friendly staff, amazing cocktails and the tasting menu is well worth a try, the food is fab!

Having previously called WAX watergate my go to Sunday roast, after today I am now spoilt for choice! The staff are so friendly Arron always smiling, the food, wow, what a flavoursome roast, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The perfect Sunday afternoon for me.
The staff are always super friendly and we would highly recommend that cake and shake. My 6 year olds face when it came out said it all. Awesome �

Had Sunday dinner for 3 of us, staff helpful and fun. Food delightful, tasty and decent size portions. Bill reasonable.

Did axe throwing with Spooks (aka Olivia I think). Had a brilliant time! She is so easy to get along with, had a great laugh. She had us in little competitions with each other and just made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Booked to go back to Newquay next year and will definitely be going back for another go.

Brilliant place for group of friends wanting something different on a night out or family wanting some fun. With escape rooms, axe throwing & interactive darts its a must for a good night in Newquay. The drinks are reasonably priced & bar staff welcoming & helpful.
Me and my partner did one of the escape rooms and had an absolute blast, it was such a good time and I would recommend to anyone. Also bar staff were incredibly friendly, great customer service and generally nice to chat to.
Would definitely go back when next in Newquay

We visited for the first time in August 2023.. we were so impressed with everything that we visited again less than a week later.
We are tourists and visit Cornwall yearly, so we always look out for new experiences. We found this bar when looking for escape rooms. We have visited to play both of the escape rooms on offer and also tried our hands at axe throwing twice. The interactive darts is so much fun and so cheap for a full hour of play.
The axe throwing is brilliant fun and the instructor is really keen to teach everyone. He was really helpful, friendly and attentive.
Both of the escape rooms were high quality, with pretty high quality props. The rooms lack the ‘home made’ feel that most of the escape rooms in Cornwall have. They feel very professional. The prison escape room has one or two red herrings, whereas the mine escape has a more linear set of puzzles.
My only gripe was that we could not complete the mine escape, as the numbers needed for one of the final puzzles had been worn away or had faded. They were all but invisible to us and the host admitted that they needed to be repainted. This didn’t spoil the game, as we had effectively ended the game (aside from one lock).
The venue was not serving any food, however, this was okay at the time. There were bar snacks on offer. The bar is dog friendly!
We had our lads Xmas party here last night & was very impressed & happy with how the evening went.
Started with some axe throwing, followed by some digital darts.
Will certainly try the escape rooms on our next visit.

Wonderful place to go for good and drinks. Cocktails were freshly made, no premix. Great atmosphere, brilliant burgers, lightly crisp fries. 2 for 10 on happy hour and happy hour is all day on Fridays. Staff are absolutely wonderful too 😊 top recommendation.
Had such a blast! Our host Spooks had to banter and made us laugh a lot. Highly recommend visiting with friends or family, a must not miss experience!
The prison escape room was excellent. Lots of puzzles and clues in odd places. 60 minutes is only just enough!
Enjoyed a tasty veggie burger here, quite a few veggie and vegan options as well as traditional meal choices. Chilled out place with friendly staff. Only slight moan was good coffee but could be a bit hotter.
We popped in here to play interactive darts. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were taken to a small booth to play which was nice. The game was fun and there were a few different versions to play to keep things interesting. We also ordered a cocktail pitcher which went down well. We came as a couple but would definitely bring the kids as I'm sure they would love it too.
