Cowes Ale House - Newport - Photo album

If you love real ale then this pub is for you. Ale is served straight from the cask, is well kept & and a good variation of ale types is rotated. Well worth a visit.
Slightly 'gay', (rainbow flags in evidence), but not in your face so don't be put off. Perfectly sound, traditional bar where you can enjoy a well looked after pint of proper ale from a variety of brewers served by knowledgeable staff. Friendly chat. Range of characters.
Friendly staff who knew her beer. Nice selection of ales. Will definitely return
A great little micropub in the middle of Cowes. Nice and cool on a hot sorting day. 3 gravity disowned real ales and 2 ciders. Highly recommended.
Quiet with just locals in the bar. 3 excellent ales on.
Great little pub. Excellent selection of beers and ciders. Friendly staff and local. A real gem!
Enjoyed visiting here, managed to get in using a wheelchair, and had the bonus of there being accessible toilet facilities that were spacious and accessible. Went in for their beer as they had local brew as well as others, but all was good, served well and a great place to drink. Good place to whi
The best pub for real ale
A haven in Cowes for ale lovers. Cheap bar snacks, a good selection of ales poured straight from the barrel, and some German black beer on tap, which is a rare treat! The staff and locals are friendly and dogs are allowed. Not really the best layout for bringing in a buggy but fine when it's less bu
( Very small ) cosy little pub, great choice of ale's. Very friendly helpful staff. We have been there many times.
Small but friendly venue with wide range of ales drawn direct from the barrel. They even had Watneys Red barrel on draft, a real throwback to the 70's, but tasted infinitely better than back in the bad old days of fizzy beer
Good service, charming place and loving staff . It was our first time here and gave us a full list with nice places to visit! Everything amazing :)
For the real ale lovers offering local Isle of Wight ales and some mainland brews. Usually 3 - 4 casks on and there are other drink options beyond. Small front room environment with live music some nights. Friendly staff..
Lovely little Pub. Excellent selection of beers etc
I love this place, super small, live music is really cool, and its a fresh change from the anchor down the road. super quirky and everyone is super chatty. would recommend for anyone wanting an authentic British pub
Nice little place with a small garden, importantly the beer and service are excellent. It's usually quieter than the usual haunts also. And not a pair of pink trousers in sight!
A proper Ale House. Great place, weekly guest ale, friendly, and full of character. Live music twice a week, but non amplified. Cosy and well worth a visit, either alone or with others.
Cosy pub with a heart of gold, very charming and professional bartender who helped me choose my poison. I'm from mainland UK, but would gladly return to the IoW just to pay a visit to this gem.
