lovely quirky lay out inside. very nice attentive staff as well. had a sunday lunch with my family and asked to be in one of the corners when i booked,.. arrived on time, early than others and soon after people coming in. unfortunately for us kids that sat near our table starting to scream and play
I enjoyed the food good portions it gets busy mostly later in the day but tge tables can be used until reserve time parking is chalenging so go early worth a visit for sure
Fab place to visit. Staff are very friendly and loads of different beers to choose from. Friendly atmosphere every time we visit there
Great service from the staff, especially young barman Dan ‘The Man’. Always had a smile on his face and nothing was any trouble for him.

We went here for a meal for our last night in Newport. The table was reserved but the location of the table is not great. The fireplace was directly in the way of the seat and my son banged his head quite hard. Terrible position. Table 15 FYI. Also it was 7.30pm and the lighting was not great. I had
Really friendly staff, lovely spot for an afternoon lunch with our boys. Food and service was good, very tasty burgers.
Nice place for dinner out. Beer and large on tap. Friendly place all welcome.. Food looks good with plenty of space, covid safe. Plenty of parking outside with tables in and out.... Place can get busy so book ahead......

Lovely pub with some different ciders and beers. Great staff and you can watch sports (rugby anyone) Pop in and try it
Great service, food was delicious and hot with nice surroundings. The coke tasted off, which we told them about. Easy to find with good parking area. Will definitely be going back.
I had a table at the TA Bassaleg for my birthday celebrations. The staff were amazing, and couldn’t be more accommodating. The food was lovely and we were able to stay at our table from 2pm to close, next to a log burner!! The resident dog is gorgeous and loves a cuddle, and the pub has a lovely war
