Sadly, Pete the proprietor passed away recently. A top bloke! both he and the Wayfarers will be sorely missed. At the time of writing there is no information as to the future of the cafe. RIP Mate.

One of the longest running roadside Cafes in Newport . top
I have been here several times and never been disappointed with the food. From a full cooked breakfast to a Christmas dinner everything has been how it should be.
The staff and owner go that extra mile to make you feel welcome.
A proper full breakfast is always available! It's a decent cafe with no
pretentiousness you find in some places! Beats wetherspoons breakfast attempts hands down! As for "rats droppings in food" as mentioned lower down the reviews......for gods sake!? Get real!!! I have known this of this cafe for 2
Excellent cafe with food to lift your mood! Always a warm welcome and makes a great change to the fake decor/food that is offered in many places. Great value and honest nosh!!
Great place to go for a full breakfast very reasonably priced good food and friendly staff.
If you like a propper greasy spoon breakfast this is the place to be in Newport. A real belly buster of a breakfast. Also do great lunches and dinners.

A typical old greasy spoon cafe but a a great breakfast and polite staff. Needs updating but that might take away from what it is and always has been .
