The Godfrey Morgan - Newport - Photo album

The area where it's based and the walk down is rough but then you get inside and it's like a little oasis. Yes it's a Wetherspoon's so you know what to expect but the building is nice with high ceilings and a good layout. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll def
Good food and great deals rather let down by tables not cleared after more than 30 minutes. Probably short staffed but otherwise really good.
Very cheap breakfast, fast service!
Great place staff are all friendly and helpful. With a great variety of Ale's
Nice place to dine in. The food was tasty, and I enjoyed the music
Not somewhere to go for a special occasion maybe but it's cheap and cheerful food is OK it reflects the price
Not quite the pinnacle of our weekend, but definitely the highlight of the Friday night... Would go back tomorrow, if it was nearer to me, but will definitely go back
Overall OK! But the chips weren't very good not your usual standard. Everything else was spot on
Good place to eat. Food is good, prices are cheap. Big range of beers and spirits including craft varieties. Food for all diets and tastes. Staff were friendly.
My favourite of all the Newport spoons. Food portions are smaller than others but the ale is always spot on but id like to see more rotation of casks not just one or two guest ales on top of the usual SA, Abbot, Ruddles etc but what does come in is always quality and well looked after in the cellars
It's a Spoons! Rarely can you go wrong for value, and there is always a good crowd and atmosphere.
Fabulous - very friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and there is not a speck of dust anywhere: the whole place is spotless. The toilets are sparkling clean and fresh, there is no smell anywhere of stale beer: all is fresh and sweet-smelling. The food is excellent - I recommend you try the Mediterra
It's nice to get a drink here because the venue is huge. Played some pool and darts. Got plenty of TV for sports all around. Does get busy and does fill its size easily at peak times but very nice place.
An excellent little bar in the middle of Maindee. The staff are professional and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. Set in an old cinema, the atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly. I've just enjoyed a lovely jalfrezi with an excellent pint of 'Brew Dog'. Lovely.
Great value for money and I am happy to return here in the future.
Great venue large selection of beers, wines, spirits and ales.. Including guest ales
