Great meal and service from Csaba was outstanding, definitely made our evening!
I’ve only marked the food down slightly as they had run out of rotisserie chicken so options available were slightly less than usual, the ribs we had were lovely!
A lovely meal served by Georgia, who is the loveliest waitress you will ever find. We are always so happy when she is looking after us. Always smiling and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Food was delivered quickly and was piping hot.
We decided to try a different Harvester than our local one. We had a bad experience on our last visit nearer our home so we came here. It was much cleaner. Even the menus felt better and not sticky etc. It was a much nicer experience. We will definitely return to this Harvester. Each member of staff were so friendly and helpful .
Very nice and helpful staff, especially Marta (I believe that is her name) who served us. Food was cooked well and served quickly.

Booked on route to this Harvester. We had a short wait before being shown to our table by a friendly waitress. She gave us menus and told us about special offers and that our server would be with us shortly. We were then met by another friendly waitress. Again special offers were explained. We ordered and had a short wait for the food. It arrived hot and correct. Throughly enjoyed the food and the experience. Will definitely visit again.
Delicious and healthy breakfast options. Helpful and welcoming staff. Ample of parking space and suitable for bigger groups.
Food was gorgeous, absolutely lovely staff. Everyone was welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. Izzy was our server and she was brilliant, food on time, going above and beyond to provide the best service possible :)
Service wasn't great!! Food was very fast, intact we didn't get to finish the salad bar. Gammon was nice, partner had chicken, looked a bit pink! Was told it was OK as it had been probed by the manager! That was left and then asked if everything was OK. Pudding took nearly 15 minutes to take order, so asked for bill when ordering, was very nice but took nearly half an hour to arrive. Oh one of these places you need to enter car registration on arrival.
Beautiful food, and amazing service. Thank you all for making our special day even better. We loved the fact you catered to our needs at letting us decorate our table, and enjoy our wedding meal. But we do apologise again for all the mess we made, but thank you all so much. The complimentary bottle of Prosseco was a very nice touch, and very appreciated. Thanks again and we'll see you again one day soon.
We visit the Harvester regularly at different locations... I must say, this one the Borderer in Newport is by far the best we been too... We were greeted straight away, they made a fuss of our children which is a plus in our eyes..
The server was Cath, a friendly, caring, helpful lady. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Our order was taken almost straight away, whereas in others you are waiting a while. The salad cart was well stocked, all looked very clean and tasted fresh. Our food, was cooked lovely. I had Bird, Surf and turf, my partner had chicken bacon waffles, my daughters had pizza, the other had fish and my son had fish fingers. All went down really well..followed by the fab Rocky Horror sundaes....£80.36 later and we are all stuffed...thank you very much Cath and the rest of the team..wd will be back for sure 😁😁
It was very quiet for a Saturday. We had a very big table, so our server had a big task on her hands, and it was understandable she struggled at times, but I can't argue with her effort.
Food came out mostly as the same time some things were shamefully burnt but still an enjoyable meal.
Recently refurbished and remodelled (again - this seems like the 5th time in the last 10 years) the meal here was good. Service was quick and as always having the harvester salad cart negates the need to buy expensive starters and meals are plenty big enough, if a little expensive for what they are. Salad bar regularly refilled and everywhere very clean inside. Would definitely visit again. Be careful when parking as you need to put in your number plate to avoid being charged.
Had a very nice breakfast here yesterday, served by a very helpful and happy waitress called Rachel. We will definitely do this again

Returned 5 weeks later my wife and myself. Both had sirloin steaks medium and medium rear. Both cooked as requested. Frendly attentive staff . Birthday offer so only paid for one steak . Very good offer. Will now download app for myself.
Family meal midday . Five people all pleased with their meals . Very polite waitress. Meals came at the ŕight time we had finished the salad bar thing. Desserts were large and well presented. With drinks about £20 a head will return.
Haven't been here for over 10 years. Lovely place and the lunch menu is a bargain at 2 courses for £11.99 or 3 courses for £13.99 with unlimited salad and bread rolls. A main meal on its own is about the same as the lunch menu

After a short break from Harvester reviews I am back,and I had to start with the Harvester I had missed it the most "The Borderer".
Once again the food was fabulous. I ordered a build your own breakfast and everything was cooked as I would like to eat it, in fact it was perfect,thank you Chef!
Sadly I was sat on a different table this time and was not served by the girl of my dreams "storey of my life" but as all the staff here are very friendly,polite and caring I was treated as I would like to be treated as a guest and a friend.
Thank you "borderer" I will return and become a reguler.
As I have missed this venue so much, it has to go to my top spot and my Harvester of choice in south wales so far.

What a fabulous restauraunt in a fabulous location. This is my fourth review of a Harvester in the south Wales area and the best so far. I would not be surprised if this Harvester is classed as a flagship for Harvester as it is an incredible venue, I have to give a special mention to the woman "Clair" that served me, she is in a class of her own and should be commended by harvester and given a pay rise for her customer care skills alone, she has buckets and buckets of it. I think she maybe a woman of my dreams, she certainly looked after me. Five star is not enough for this venue! Google maps this venue needs a special extra star.
