First lunchtime visit and definitely not the last. Warm welcome on arrival by very friendly, efficient staff. Really good choice on menu with special offers available. Food is really good and well presented. Dined here many times in the evening and have never had a poor meal. Would definitely recommend for food, atmosphere, staff and value for money. Went last night for a meal with other half. It was amazing food. A lovely vibe in the restaurant. Considering how busy it was, didn't have to wait long for courses. Staff are attentive. The food was exceptional, a presented beautifully. I recommend booking in advance on weekends though.

Booked it for an Easter Monday family lunch as my wife and I are familiar with the Cardiff branch of this chain. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food on the excellent value prix fixe menu and the service was excellent too. Highly recommend.
Booked a table for 6 at 6.15pm and arrived a little late but it was no problem. We all had three courses and each one was tasty and looked good.
Tom was our waiter for the evening and nothing was too much trouble, even when we were trying to split the bill at the end of the evening.
All in all, a great evening in a fab atmostphere with good food and prices. This wasnt our first vist to Pierres and definately wont be our last.
Called in as we've never tried this before. Fixed price lunch excellent value and no skimping on the quality or quantity. The restaurant was very busy but service was relatively swift. We sat near the kitchen and chef was certainly keeping it flowing � Friendly, efficient staff. Great experience. Will return!

Eaten here now on 3 occasions and had good food on every occasion . Service can be up and down depending on how busy they are .

Went here on Saturday afternoon to book a table for the evening, staff were so friendly and welcoming, we actually got some free food and cocktail samples which were amazing and we were even more sold on our decision to eat here. We had the duck dish which came with potatoes and green beans. The duck was cooked beautifully. The cocktails are amazing too. Will definitely visit here again when in Newport.
Went to Bistrot Pierre 2 weeks back . We were seated quickly and attended to well throughout the meal. Ordered the 3 course menu and we were all happy with the choice and selection. Food was alright but did lack a bit of spice especially in the 'Goan prawns' which actually didnt taste like Goan prawns. Other than that the meal was pleasant . I would definitely recommend the steak.
Nice spot for breakfast and very popular with locals. Breakfast dishes for around a fiver with unlimited tea or coffee. Food not outstanding but nice enough. Outside area very nice on a sunny morning, opens at 9am.
Delicious food. Excellent and attentive service from Jack. Jack was friendly and happy, an absolute delight.
All the staff were abiding by Covid guidelines, felt very safe.

I really enjoy the food at Bistrot Pierre, varied menu, gorgeous food, it can be a little expensive, but on special occasions well worth it.
Nice place in Friars Walk. I haven't tried their food menu yet and I will definitely come back. Their sweet potato fries and cucumber spritz were very good though.
My most favourite place to go for food, the staff are super friendly and will do anything for you. I've been to plenty around the UK. Plymouth being my favourite! Newport, South Wales being my second and most recommended restaurant to friends and family. The chorizo mini appetizer being my most craved food, pork for my main & I cannot go without having the crémé brulé for desert!

A nice choice for French food in Newport! Besides the comfort atmosphere and distinctive food, I also recommend the place because the staff are very friendly -- all of them gather together for a kid's birthday celebration. This is so lovely.
Just got home from an evening out with friends. We went Bistros Pierre, Friars Walk, Newport. The food was outstanding, the Chicken Diane was delicious. The service was really good, the staff were happy to help with our requests. Definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit.
