So my parents sold this just under 3 years ago and it was my first time visiting since, and it did not disappoint. The decor, the service and the food was second to none. Really impressed. Very modern and friendly definitely worth every penny.
Absolutely amazing food and staff couldn’t do enough for you and as it was my birthday I had a lovely birthday plate it was such a lovely gesture from them it was my first time going and will be back again for the brilliant home cooked food

Booked a surprise for our 13 year anniversary and to say we were all overwhelmed by the wonderful atmosphere is an understatement , my future son in law who is a mega fussy eater , has booked a return visit for the summer
This never happens in the 11years we have known him he never recommends places to eat
But the menu is mouthwatering .The food stunning.

Took my daughter for afternoon tea for her birthday. It was wonderful. Delicious sandwiches and selection of delightful cakes, and lovely staff. Well worth the visit. Thank you, we will be back.
A party of us attended on the 14th March for my retirement meal. We had a lovely evening. Everybody said how lovely the food was was. Nothing was too much trouble for our waitress. Thank you for making my retirement a memorable evening.

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with friends, either 2 or 3 courses & i chose 3. Pulled pork stuffed croquettes with chilli dressing followed by stuffed chicken in a white sauce with vegetables. I finished my meal with cheese & biscuits - Stilton & cheddar with apple & celery. My friend & i shared a bottle of South African Chenin Blanc. Food & wine were excellent - generous portions of very tasty food. We have booked a return visit next month. Staff were very friendly & attentive. Well done Junction 28
Haven’t been to Junction 28 for a while but really enjoyed our meal. A warm welcome. Great food and lovely staff.

First time visit for us. A little pricey but the food was awesome! The trio of lamb was extremely tasty. The skin on the Sea bass could have been a little crisper. Mixed grill was great value.
Wife wanted to go out for lunch at a nice place. Finally zeroed on junction 28. Well worth it. We were served very well. The food was exceptional
Nice restaurant tucked out of the way in Bassaleg behind a church. Nice setting. Decent menu and allergen choices. Not cheap. Very good service and attention.

Plenty of parking, easy to access for wheelchair/rollator users with fully accessible toilets.
Food outstanding and beautifully presented. Staff really chill and friendly. Varied menu from set menu to al a carte. Spotless inside with nice decor. You can ask to sit in "the carriage " which are booth seats for up to 4 in the train carriage which is part of the restaurant. For those into trains Google the history!
I mentioned 2 specific disabilities on the booking and they catered beautifully. Will definitely be back.
Starter complimentary bread with the sun-dried tomatoe butter was outstanding and unexpected on warm chunky bread.

A visit to Junction 28 in Bassaleg is like revisiting an old friend, nothing ever seems to change much. This was our first visit since before lockdown, we had a really enjoyable lunch and it was nice to see additional vegetarian choices on the menu. The service as always was attentive and the food was beautifully.
I'm a regular visitor to Junction 28. On this occasion I visited with friends for lunch.
The restaurant was really busy which was great to see.
I ordered the onion bhaji for starters and Tikka breast for main course. Both meals were fantastic and portions were generous. The chips are to die for by the way.
As usual service was superb.
Definitely add J28 to your list and especially do for the set price lunch. Great value and no let up in quality.
Amazing attentive service, nothing was a problem. Our order came out wrong and they refunded us and cooked the new food and provided free drinks, which we weren't expecting. Food is tasty and good portions
Joined a party of 17 for my nephews 30th birthday...went for the two course Sunday lunch...
Meat was cooked to perfection , Yorkshire puds to admire and loads of veg.
Staff were professional , polite and up for a laugh .....

Lovely food and excellent, attentive service. We arrived a bit early so ordered in the waiting/bar area and were taken to our table when the first course was ready. Everything was well cooked and very tasty.
I have had many superb meals at Junction 28 over the years, but I have to say that today’s fish menu surpassed all. The king prawns I had were absolutely delicious and all my friends meals were equally as good. Thank you Tom and staff.
Beautiful interior, friendly, helpful, efficient staff and most of our party of 17 people thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was plentiful. However, my pork steaks were a little dry and the chips didn't appear to be home-made - some nice tripple cooked or rustic would have been better. Vegetables were perfect and plenty of them. Will definitely go again but choose differently.
We had not been for a few years so we're curious to see how things had changed. Staff lovely as they always had been. Very happy to still have a delicious basket if bread with our meal. We really enjoyed our starters and mains. Our cheesecake pudding was well presented but not our favourite but possibly just personal taste. The reason for 4 stars is that unlike in previous visits we felt we were rushed through with not enough time between courses, what was planned to be a relaxing treat night out was too rushed.

On entering we were greeted by very pleasant manager. Comfortable seating while waiting for table. Seating comfortable plenty of room, not on top of each other. Delicious food, staff can't do enough for you. Will definitely be going back.
