Myself and my wife called in during the heavy rain for a quick drink. We were very pleasantly surprised how much this pub had changed since our last visit 4 years ago. Firstly, greeted with a nice smile from the young lady behind the bar, then the very cosy atmosphere.
The landlord and landlady were very nice and made us feel very welcome. It just felt like a nice friendly place to go, which we will certainly do a lot more often from now on.
P.s, we enjoyed it so much we stayed for 4. 😊
Nice pub with friendly owners. Clean and well-decorated inside with great photos of local history. We had a quarter pounder burger and a veggie burger, a pint of Eagle IPA and a large glass of Melbec. The wine was really nice and the beer was spot on. The food was well-prepared and came quickly, though the menu is a little limited to sandwiches, burgers, pizza and jacket potatoes. The prices are 100% fair but the quality of food, especially the veggie burger, was basic. For a £6 main meal, you wouldn't complain.
Lovely owners and staff. Good selection of beers etc. Food is typical pub grub not a gastro pub. Lovely decor and dog friendly. Outside garden and gazebo.

My sister and I took mum here for a meal for her birthday the staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough for us the food was lovely my sister had pizza i tried some the best pizza around I would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a good meal in a lovely setting and Syd the dog is a superstar
Good real ales and great value good old bar food. Dog friendly as well. It's our half way meeting place with the in-laws. Next time I might even take advantage of the darts board! Staff are very friendly I would recommend

We came in as visiting football supporters and were thrilled with the warm welcome from the staff, good choice of ales and the neat and tidy building. We had to come back after the match just to make sure! Thanks.
Visited for a drink and two amazing double burgers! A really lovely pub with friendly staff. It has a great outside area and tables inside to eat. We really enjoyed our visit and felt at home. Dog friendly with lovely historical pictures of the area too.We would definitely recommend.
