Great staff, friendly and efficient service, lovely selection of food and a good wine list too. We were table of 10 and they looked after us very well, accommodating with ease some of our parties dietary restrictions too. .... all wrapped up in a cozy pub atmosphere .. No doubt the positive spirit and energy of the new owners flowed through to the rest of the team.

WOW! Under new management now and what a transformation! We've eaten here quite a few times now and every time we're blown away at how good the food is. And always served so competently by the team with such a friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Honestly cannot fault this place. Great to see it so busy again, there's a real buzz of positivity during service. Plus- great quiz nights! Definitely book in advance.. and in confidence!

Lovely pub with amazing food, atmosphere and staff. We have been during the Harry Potter themed dining weekend and the attention to detail was incredible. The children were blown away and it certainly felt magical for all (adults included). The sharing roasts are a real gem on the menu. We've returned a few times and also just attended the Georgefest yesterday. Sam Brother was an amazing Artist and worth turning up just to hear him. The food and drink were spot on. Busy festival but absolutely no idiots ruining the experience! A lovely day and amazing pub/staff. I highly recommend this!

Excellent cosy little pub we popped in for a quick bite on the way to Doddington Place gardens and were very pleased with our choice. Great selection of freshly made food, drinks and of course, the Sunday roast! Our food was delicious and served pretty quick. 5* to the chef! The staff there is very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and will try their best to accommodate your requests. Nice outdoor sitting area. Car park is just outside of the pub. Definitely recommend it!

Lovely restaurant. Ample parking, clean toilets, nice outdoor area. Staff are very kind and hard working and will do their best to accommodate your request like extra carrots or to decorate the table for a celebration. We eat as a family of 10, one is hard of hearing, so we request the private room at the front of the building, so incredibly helpful that they will always do their best to accommodate. The food is so good! These are the sharing roast, we had them between 2 for the adults, and between 3 for the kids, everyone was full up. We all love it here

Absolutely loved our visit to the George Inn Newnham! We tried the sharing board and oh my, what a treat! The meat was cooked to perfection and the trimmings were just divine. A must-visit spot. Five stars all the way!

Great building, lovely traditional decor, like stepping back in time! Tranquil village setting, opposite the church in Newnham, a stones throw from Sharsted Woods. Spacious beer garden with a variety of seating options & an outdoor bar, pandemic friendly, all tables given sanitiser too. Very friendly and attentive staff. Dog friendly. Food was good. Would recommend the pub & the minted lamb burger.

One of my favourite pubs ever. It's beautiful, cosy, comfy, excellent restaurant quality food and the loveliest family run it too. Huge garden that's particularly great in the warmer months, just do yourself a favour and visit!!

What an amazing gem of a pub. The food is proper pub food (and so tasty) and you get plenty on your plate! The customer service is so nice and they don't rush you. After we finished our meal we were invited to lounge in their mini soft seat area for coffee. I'm planning on making this pub a regular haunt!!

Lovely little pud, free parking, huge garden, dog friendly, beautiful inside, prices are little high £15 for burger and chips ( burger hugh), chicken roast nice ( more veg would be better) veg comes in a small dish. Staff very friendly, the pub is more adultish, nice and quiet with music in the back ground (old music) I would come back here

Nestled in a picturesque, countryside location between bucolic, verdant hillsides with woodland, fields, and incredible scenery, this awesome pub has bags of old world charm and character. In fact it's got about 300 years of history, it is very popular and it's no surprise why. The food has always been of a very high standard here, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is an excellent selection of drinks, especially some of my favourite Shepherd Neame beers. I definitely recommend this pub. There are lovely fireplaces and different charming nooks and crannies for indoor seating, and there is a decent beer garden behind the pub, as well as a few benches to the side of the building if you want to sit outside. The George Inn is also dog friendly, and there are plenty of footpaths nearby, making it a great stop off point when exploring the Kentish countryside.

Really welcoming pub with a gorgeous interior. They were able to accommodate us at late notice as the Chequers down the road was not doing food. We all had 2 courses, and everyone was really impressed with their meal. Staff were attentive, making sure that everyone had a drink. A really enjoyable evening and would definitely return.
