Popped out for a cheeky Friday night meal and drink. Thought let's go to Kings, it's been a while. Have to say pleasantly surprised, food once we received it was delicious. House DJ playing some smooth beats, all in all a good night. We'll be back as Andrew the resident DJ has a big birthday in July. See ya then A

Attended a celebration of life event, food was very nice. Staff friendly, unobtrusive and efficient. I was very concerned for the little white dog that seemed to be shut in a cupboard, it was constantly bashing against the door to get out. Clearly it did not want to go back in the cupboard after it had been out for a toilet break as it was digging its heels in and resisting.

Don’t let the unassuming appearance fool you. The place is historic, tracing back to King James I and still has a charming interior and garden. Gathered here for an alumni tour. Tempted by the warm frangipane on the blackboard. More cake-like than crumbly, but still tastes lovely. Not too sweet by British standard. Service is really friendly. Respects to the owner for saving this place.

We stayed for three nights to attend a big wedding in Cambridge. We didn't mind the wonky stairs. They just added character to a very old building. The staff were brilliant & friendly and we slept like logs in a comfortable bed. We would stay again but it would be better if they kept the car park for guests only.

Central located hotel in Newmarket, Kings has some great value rooms when compared to even the chains in the area. Incredibly well thought out you can tell a lot of effort has gone into every stage of the hotel. The rooms themselves are very well equipped above and beyond what id expect for the price, microwave, mini fridge, toaster... even takeaway coffee cups! Bowls, milk, cups and biscuits all served free of charge and the WiFi itself is pretty speedy and free! The hotel itself is well kept, rubber mats in outside areas to keep footstep noise down in early morning and friendly service. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Right in the middle of Newmarket with everything only a short walk away, the rooms are very well catered for, there is a fabulous garden to chill out in and have a drink, the bar area is great, the staff were very helpful even though we did turn up early, slightly limited on the parking but available parking near by. Had a great comfortable stay.

I had a great experience at Kings Newmarket. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a separate study room, which was a nice added bonus. The owner, Paul, was extremely friendly and made sure I had a comfortable stay. The burger and chips I ordered were delicious. The burger was cooked to my liking and the chips were crispy and seasoned perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. I also appreciated that the prices were reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend Kings Newmarket for both its accommodation and dining. The service and quality of the food were top-notch.
