Had a great meal here. Lovely helpful barkeeper, great food & drink. Enjoyed the steak & ale pie, katsu chicken, Mac & cheese, and BBQ chicken. Desserts were good too. Recommend if you’re in town or nearby.
A really, surprisingly lovely, quint pub. It's small on the outside and pretty big on the inside. Great service and great food. Many of the locals recommended the food here. A good choice. Chicken thighs with a Tenesse sauce, sweet potato fries, fish & chunky chips, and crispy squid.
Booked last minute on the way home from a weekend away. They couldn’t have been more friendly & accommodating given how busy they were! The landlady saved roast dinners for us in case we wanted them as they had sold out. So kind! Food was delicious, really friendly service. Would definitely recommen
Great pub at Newmarket's city centre. I was on a weekend and it was crowded but seats were available outside. The service was awesome...I asked for some smashed peas and the received recipient was empty, a thing I didn't notice until the waiter came with a new container and some apologies. Thank you

My wife and I go to the Bull regularly and have always enjoyed the food. Good friendly service. Good portions and well priced. Katsu Chicken burger is a main stat for us but all the options are good. Never made to feel awkward despite not being complete locals and always made to feel valued. Highly

Had a breakfast which was amazing value for money with the portion size. Such a nice clean fresh breakfast, this could honestly be for a share breakfast if too much. Highly liked and loved, with nice friendly staff.
Best place for new residents of Newmarket to feel welcome! Also the real ales were what I wanted to drink. The food is great. Sharers are brilliant to eat while watching sports on their televisions.
I'm giving them the five stars because the woman working behind the bar was absolutely welcoming, nice and really kind!!

Could not have been made more welcome when we dropped in for lunch on a freezing Saturday in December. A really welcoming pub, a fire blazing and the food was terrific. Huge thanks to the lovely staff who made sure we weren't in a draught from the door and then encouraged us back for breakfast. W

Great local pub. Excellent selection of beers and spirits. On this occasion visited for breakfast. Had full English and cappuccino all for less than £7. Great value for money, produce good quality and tasted great.
Two ladies who run the place were very welcoming and chatty.
There was a fabulously warm welcome from Tasha. She gave great information on the beer selections and her attention to detail is brilliant.
We will absolutely be going back to The Bull, the next time we are in Newmarket.

Visited today for brunch and the food was really good, fresh, well cooked and not overpriced! Pub was clean, staff are very friendly helpful and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back !
