An excellent pub with very friendly staff! We arrived 15 minutes after food serving time but they still fed us anyway The food is absolutely gorgeous and doesn't cost the earth. Top quality grub!!

Cracking little boozer. Discovered it many moons ago, always try and pay a visit when we're in that part of Cornwall. The crab soup is ace!
Wow, a proper pub with great food. We were expecting the usual scampi and chips fare but instead had a great veggie bolognese and fabulously fresh local monkfish goujons. Staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. A great relaxed and entertaining night!
A lovely pub meal, delightful conversation with the landlady, the atmosphere created by local fishermen discussing their experiences, and all accompanied by pints of English ale. I'm not making this up and I'm available for enquiries. I could only be more effusive in person. It was a slice of an England of my imagination which proved true. It's small, it's perfectly formed, and it's a memorable experience. The B&B almost next door (where we stayed) was lovely too. The landlady was delightful and solicitous. Nice beakfasts. Ask me in person for an endorsement from Wagga Wagga.
Location was great looking at the fishing boats whilst eating. I have visited Cornwall many times and I can honestly say this was the best crab sandwich I have had. My friends had whitebait, prawn salad and gammon and chips, All of which were excellent. Staff were lovely and helpful . Would highly recommend and will be back on my next visit.
A nice homely pub, a little rough around the edges, but in a good way. A couple of ales available. Split level, with a pool table. Unfussy atmosphere, worth a look.
Amazing place with amazing people. The view from the outside of the pub was outstanding. Lots of friendly local people you can have a chat with to find out more about Cornwall. Highly recommended 🖤
Sunday roast... best in Newlyn.
Superb. Young staff need bit of monitoring.... smiling etc. But polite enough.
Good bands and great set up. Landlady is excellent
Brilliant local pub, the team that work here are amazing and super friendly. We had the large Sunday roast and yummy plus there was entertainment by the jolly Roger band. Dancing and much fun. You have to try this pub. Cheers from Foz J. Foster
We have visited Newlyn twice a year for the past few years and we always book here for dinner, the Crab fish cakes are so tasty. A quite local pub with friendly staff.
Authentic, lovely pub with a great beer garden out the back with some sea views. The crab soup is beautiful and worth the visit alone. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere. A local band played really well, the dancing was fun and I recommend this pub for locals or visitors.
We tried their cocktail menu and they were really well made.
This is true tribute to the English pub, welcoming and friendly which serves up some very good food. Booking in advance is essential unless you’re very lucky, we enjoyed the delicious crab soup, whitebait starters and the grilled fish was excellent. This is somewhere we come every time we’re in Penzance/newlyn even for a beer to enjoy the friendly local atmosphere.
Simple pub grub well done. The pub is rustic and overlooks the harbour, staff friendly. We had a starter of crab soup which was fresh, delicious and a large portion. Then I had fish and chips, fresh and perfectly cooked. My partner had the crab fish cake which was fresh, homemade and large. Good food, reasonable prices, good sized portions. Very nice
Nice local drinkers pub. They do food, but we did not eat. Friendly locals to chat to, and it is dog friendly. Good atmosphere
Came from Yorkshire and it's my first time in Cornwall and this was my first stop the staff were friendly food was tasty the chips and mushy peas were great and had a selection of nice Cider
Lovely food. Got served before a large family of posh whiners, who then whined about not having their food bought out first 😂 That always makes my day!
We booked, as staying near by. Met by the really friendly staff, who sorted drinks and got us settled. Fantastic pub, fantastic service! They're really doing some great pub food - check this starter out!!!🥰🥰🥰

Just played a gig here,my first time in the venue,a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, had a wonderful time.
Apparently it's like it all the time, not just when there's a band on!!
Amazing crab cake, perfectly cooked chips and very friendly staff. The view over the harbour is a nice bonus too. Well worth venturing out of the Penzance town centre a bit to eat here.
Nice pub in Newlyn overlooking the fishing harbour. Pool table , Juke box and dog welcome. Menu looked good but we didn't eat. 2 real ales on
Lovely pub and views. We stopped off by accident. Bike trouble. We sat outside due to covid regulations. Bar staff was lovely and toilets were clean
