One of the best fish and chips I have ever tried. Fish is very tender and flavourful underneath the crispy golden crust.
Dignosed as coeliac a few months back, so being away on holiday and finding a place that catered for gluten-free was a little bit of a nightmare.
I found out through Google that Lewis's did gluten-free, so we treated ourselves. Fish and chips and, of course, the gluten-free vinegar.
It was worth the wait because it was the best fish & chips I've had. So a big thanks!
My kids asked me to write this review! As Fish ‘n’ chip connoisseurs they found the chips the best they’ve tasted. They also rated the chicken burger and the battered cod as extremely delicious. The shop is always so busy, but the staff are attentive and friendly. A go to takeaway when we visit Cornwall.
Myself and my wife had 2 Cod and Chips - they were some of the best we have eaten. Good mix of tourists and locals, staff were friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the shop. Fish was flakey and chips were not greasy - regular size is a large in many other places.
Nice place with tasty food. Unfortunately nearly all the time there is a big queue. You need to wait around 20 mins. Staff is polite and friendly, trying their best to do everything as quick as possible.
Excellent smiley reception on arrival. Ordered 4 cod, 4 chips, 1 fishcake and 2 sausage in batter. All food was fresh and tasty, perfect amount of batter on the fish so not to taste unbalanced. Waited just a few minutes for the freshly cooked food and was very impressed they had a seating area for waiting for take out orders. Would highly recommend!

We were in Cornwall for a week and had to have fish & chips before we left.
We found this gem which did not fall into the trap of other chippys and doing kebabs and fried chicken and kept to a relatively simple fish, chip & burger menu.
I ordered lemon cod & chips and my partner had chips with curry sauce & mushy peas.
The staff were pleasant and some regulars were also served while we waited and there seemed to be a good spirit going on.
We took our meal to the flat and the chips were still warm, I hadn’t had lemon cod before and it was delicious and the chips were pale but cooked well and tasty.
Overall recommend this chippy and worth a visit to those in the area.
Decent Fish and Chips in Newlyn, nice and thin crispy batter, decent chips, curry sauce lacking a bit of flavour but still good!
Every time we come to Newlyn we have takeaway from here, the Lemon Pepper Cod is so nice.

We were visiting the theatre in Penzance and needed a quick takeaway meal before hand, decided to pop along to Newlyn for fish and chips, despite a queue our order of 2 cod and chips was ready almost instantly. Good sized portions and nicely cooked, especially the fish. Reasonably priced and would use again.

WOW... I've travelled the UK and had many great fish and chips I love fish and chips and this place is the best... Sorry BEST place I've ever found.. in Penzance there are many Fish & Chip shops and they cannot even come close to how amazing and superb the quality AND quantity of their food is. The staff were super happy and quick too but the fish was huge and zero skin or black bits the batter was so so tasty and flawless and the Chips were Superb. I cannot reccomend enough. Definitely try these over ANY other Penzance chippy
Edit: one lady who works here is always depressed unhappy and it carries to the customers...they shut at 8 tankful this made me try Mackerel opposite and they are 1000000x better but more expensive

It was fresh, cooked right not soaked in oil and just tasted amazing! I had the lemon pepper one but I can assume all the others are just as good! Would definitely come back!
Proper chip shop with freshly cooked tasty fish and chips. Nice and close to the seafront as well so you can take them away to eat there!
Had to visit here when staying in Newlyn and it had been highly recommended.
Asked what type of fish to go for when in there and both the staff and customers all said the haddock.
It was the best fish and chips that I have had this year by far and had it with chips and curry sauce.
Would strongly recommend to anyone visiting this part of Cornwall.
