It's a few years since we came here and at the time were disappointed. We thought food portions were rather small and the wine overpriced.
Apparently the establishment is under different management and things have greatly improved. We had a burger with chips and a bottle of house wine all for under £40 for the two of us.
One very minor criticism is that the plates were unheated. Nevertheless, the food was hot and of good quality. We will be here again.

Drinks were a bit expensive but the music and vibe more than made up for it.

A gem of a pub right on the waterfront at Newhaven harbour. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The beer was in good condition as well. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

Pub where you can relax with a good beer in the evening or with a daily special at lunchtime. The setting is very pleasant and the welcome friendly.
Absolutely brilliant pub great atmosphere friendly staff food was amazing the garden was beautiful and a great sun trap beautiful view from the front seating area right next to the river very Close if waiting for the ferry to France great bands though out the summer and also the breakfast at the weekend very much needed after a night out
Didn't eat here just popped in for a drink, although the food that other people were eating looked very good.
Fab pub to grab some drinks and grub prior to the ferry check in. Not too far from the ferry terminal, but you'll still have to cycle a few mins or walk 10ish or so
My food was very tasty as was the food of two others. The 4th group member's dish was not very big & not too special. Would still recommend the place as the staff was extremely attentive

Excellent fish n chips yet again served at The Ark....it is my favourite there and never disappoints light crispy batter with crispy chips side salad and coleslaw....we love sitting out on the decking watching the boats and the world go by with a drink or 2....always feel relaxed...Hubbie had the Ark Burger which was served in a fresh soft roll and he enjoyed it to the last bite and washed down with a nice Pino Grigio....fish is purchased from Bickerstaffs next door which is fresh off their boats and always Top quality....we look forward to try the Thai menu that is served on Wednesday's & Thursday's 😁
Visited the ark for the first time while on holiday for the first time found the pub very clean friendly bar staff great atmosphere well worth a visit

We ordered two pizzas that were ordered admittedly, quite last minute and the service was quick and the pizzas was amazing, loved it.
Really enjoyed our visit. Pizza was yumtastic x
Beautiful place to have a drink and watch the river boats. Bar lady was an absolute gem.
Monday specials are well worth the price!
