Doc's Fish And Chips - Newcastle - Photo album

20 minutes wait, but I expected as this is a town cafe in the beautiful Newcastle county down. Wanted to try as I heard the fish was really good. I was a little disappointed as the fish had a flour taste, but the batter was crunchy and overall all the meals were very nice. *The onion rings were exce
Work trip staying over in Newcastle. Went here for lunch, liked it so much I went back again for dinner. Chicken goujons n chips for lunch Chicken burger for dinner Both amazing. Bbq sauce yummy. Staff friendly. Diet starts tomorrow, I promise✌️
This is an excellent local shop, the staff are extremely friendly with the location being clean tidy and well kept. Excellent selection of food and brilliant quality, prices are very competitive. No issues with going back the next time I am on the town. Very pleased
Really nice food and friendly staff. Stays open a little bit later than other restaurants in town so good for late arrivals like us. The prices are a little too steep for the fare but it is good food all the same.
Visited as a party of 8 on a Friday tea time. After a short wait we were seated and drinks taken. Gorgeous food, hot and very yummy. It was busy but no-one seemed rushed and we were well looked after. Will definitely be back
Visited Docs for food last Saturday night, thankfully my partner had phoned and booked ahead as it is a really busy spot (always a good sign). The food was really tasty and the service was fast, exactly what you want when you're starving! Thanks Docs, we will be back when next in Newcastle :)
Been going to docs regularly top quality food and helpful staff
Although very busy and had to queue it was well worth the wait! I had the 'small' fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce, more than adequate and Hubby had the pulled pork sandwich! We will certainly recommend it to everyone xx Great value and the chips are to die for xx The lady next to us
Ordered the steak sandwich which was excellent and it came with one of the best pepper sauces I've had. The fish and chips was also amazing with a great batter and a light tartar sauce. Best onion rings I've had
Can't fault this spot, food very good we had smoked haddock and roast turkey. Staff very good and polite place was very busy and we hadn't a long wait. A good sign place was busy and staff coped with everyone. Well done Doc's.
Amazing tasty food, attentive staff, relaxed family friendly atmosphere and the place is immaculately clean.
Lovely food, great quality and reasonably priced. Staff were incredibly friendly and polite. Great portion sizes. 10/10 highly recommend
I went two nights in a row as the food was so nice the first night. Though the second night was nice, the garlic potatoes were a bit hard, which was a little disappointing. I would still go back though as the chicken goujons and gravy are beautiful 😍
I can’t think of anything bad to say. I had the lunchtime chicken goujon meal with garlic mayo and a can of coke for £6. Freshly cooked, tasted great and the staff were attentive and friendly. I’ve been to Newcastle a few times with work this month and, so far, Docs Bistro comes out on top for me. I
If you're in Newcastle and craving some delicious fish and chips, or if you simply want to enjoy a great meal in a welcoming environment, I highly recommend Doc's Café, Fish & Chips. It's a true gem in the city's culinary scene, and I can't wait to return for another mouthwatering meal.
1 of my most favourite food places it never disappoints. Friendly service, great food, sometimes there's a queue because it's very popular but it doesn't take long going down.
Simply superb restaurant with a tasty comprehensive menu. Delicious daily dinners, deserts and a good variety of beverages including wines and beers. Packed most days but with only one general unisex disabled toilet there can be a queue at times to use the facility. Friendly polite waitresses.
