Have always fancied calling in here as it looks so inviting. Finally popped by today to a lovely warm welcome. I collected a Tiramisu and slice of cake which were very nice . Loyalty card available. Will definitely call again.

Chill and down to earth staff, beautiful vintage interior, and good handmade paninis for a good price. They have their own pizza oven in the corner, would want to try one of those, but we got 2 paninis, 2 cannolis and a hot chocolate. They also sell Italian treats and ingredients, all for very fair prices. What more could you want?

Lovely cafe small but with excellent food and good sized portions. Staff friendly and welcoming. Seats at the tables are not very comfortable for elderly less able people. Would recommend any one to visit Cafe Rustico. No parking but that's not down to the owners .

Friendly staff and tasty food. Very accommodating, dog friendly. We were a group of 6 plus a baby and went in for brunch and they pushed tables together for us. Italian food was delicious 👌 thank you

I’ve always meant to pop in sooner and wish I had. Shared a lovely authentic Italian pizza and Arancini with my partner for lunch. Best pizza I’ve had for a while outside of Italy. Service really great and everyone so friendly. We took a pizza loyalty card as now on a mission to get that free one. Thanks guys

Yum I'd had some cakes to takeaway previously, which were delicious, this time we sat in and had pizza. So good! Amazing base, really light and crisp crusts and the toppings were excellent. The spinach and sausage was a particular highlight. We'll definitely be back

This was such a lovely experience and the food was amazing. Authentic Rustic Italian food at its finest. A small cafe with the BEST pizza I have had in years. The flavour was so good and the crust was tasty. The lasagne was equally delicious. For dessert we had Canoli. Sweet but not too sweet, just the right amount of flavour. Most of the food is made by the Italian husband/wife owners who also gave us friendly conversation but also let us crack on with quiet work on the computer after my husband and I finished eating. The coffee was great too, an Italian brand. A visit is highly recommended.

📍Caffè Rustico @ 101 Benfield Road Incredible Italian food, made from the heart. The pizzaiolo and owner, David, who happens to be an Italian gentleman, is such a friendly and passionate person. I was recommended to give this caffè a try multiple times. 🧑‍🍳With a consistent string of great reviews, Caffè Rustico stands to be a quaint, homely caffè with lovely Italian pizzas and other dishes at its finest. When Michelle and I were there, there were customers conversing in Italian with David, and it was evident that they were happy customers. We loved our experience there: 🍕Sombrero Siciliano - Mini Pizza with a 'hat' of puff pastry 🥧Cannelloni Ricotta Spinach ☕Hot Chocolate (Dark) I ogled at the other dishes available - Tiramisu, Lasagne, and the various Pizzas.. But I was already stuffed with my initial order. 🧑‍🍳Truly, it's impressionable, just watching David run the show - it's cuisine from the heart, something he really takes pride of. I will definitely have to try the other dishes!

Best Pizza outside of Italy!!! It's a real treat to find a cafe where the food is entirely hommade and crafted with passion. The owner and chef Davide is a real charater and brings his warm personality and traditional italian fare to the streets of Newcastle. My reccomendation? His pizza is legendary but ties joint first with his superb tiramisu.

This is a wonderful little cafe which you could easily pass by without realising, but if you did that you'd be missing out. Incredibly priced, delicious food with an authentic Italian taste. Please do not leave here without trying something off their dessert selection! Only real downside is that they can't seat more people but that's just down to the size of the building, and they are willing to move tables to accommodate bigger groups.

What a hidden gem this place is, we were told it was the best pizza & it didn't disappoint! Not only was the food fresh and hot it was extremely well executed & presented. The cosy café atmosphere and decor is great, the perfect hang out to catch up & lunch or coffee with friends! The desserts are so good too particularly Nonna's Tarte! Can't wait to revisit 😃
