Food was absolutely delicious. I had the black pudding with apple and onion chutney, it was amazing. I also had the octopus with lemon, not enough octopus but was very nice. Will definitely be back

Had 3 tapas for lunch, really good price for food and quality. My personal favourite were the paella tapa, and for dessert the crema catalana is always a must The place is really clean and the service is really welcoming, one of my favourite places in Newcastle

Great service from the waiting staff and food came out really quickly which was appreciated as we were going to the theatre. Prices very reasonable and portion sizes good. I do think there are slightly better tapas restaurants around so I'd probably only revisit if I had another trip to the theatre and wanted to be close by. It was still good food (for the most part) so definitely recommend but not every dish was a star. Cocktails were really good!

Sensational tapas at Cafe Andaluz, the red wine chorizo is my personal favourite! Staff are friendly but can be easy to rack up the bill as there’s so much to choose from so be wary!

We decided on a last minute visit, we were seated at the bar to eat which made it feel more authentic. The floor staff were very busy and no one took our order but the lovely lady working on the bar lookd after us after she realised. Food was incredible! After living in Spain for many years I am always looking for the authentic taste here and I definitely found it. We chose 3 tapas each for £17.95, a tabla and some bread. It was far too much for both of us I couldn't fault any of it except maybe dishes like gamba pilpil and mejillolones a la marinera should come with bread. We also had a cocktail each the daiquiri was incredible I could have had way to many. Cost was around £90 for 2 with the 10% optional service charge so quite pricey for tapas but worth it for the quality of the food highly recommended

We were a large group and had a lovely time here . The tapas were tasty and there was a nice variety . I especially enjoyed the prawns “rebozadas” .The service was excellent . We were a bit disappointed that two out of three of the dessert wines were unavailable . Would definitely revisit . Just visited again and it has definitely found its feet and gets a 5 star now !

It was my first time to visit, and I had a lovely experience! The ambiance and atmosphere was warm and inviting, it felt like it transported you to a different place and time. Me and my friends sat on one of the booths by the windows, and we were thoroughly impressed by the decor and the design of the place. When we came in, we were received at the front of the house and were ushered into our table, and promptly thereafter, they asked us for our drinks orders. Initially, when we saw the menu, it was a little bit intimidating as we didn't know the dishes that we were going to order. However, the descriptions were quite helpful in letting us know what each dish consisted of. The servers were quite attentive and nothing was a bother for them, they always popped by the tableside every now and then to check how we were doing and if the food was to our liking. My friends and I had the 3 tapas for about 17£ (rough estimate) and we were not disappointed. Although the servings look small, they pack a punch - full of flavour and so delicious! We initially thought that the tapas would not fill our appetites, but they were more than enough to satisfy our hunger! And eventhough we were full, we decided to splurge on some dessert - and again, we were not disappointed! Lovely place, amazing food! Will definitely go back for more!

I wanted to give a 3.5 star rating but the dessert made up for 4 stars. The food was absolutely not bad but it lacked flavor and the lamb was overcooked. The 3 pound surcharge was completely unreasonable. The ambiance and the service was very friendly and beautifully.

As always a lovely meal was had by myself and my daughter. We came yesterday for a Mother's Day treat and food was spot on again. Hot, good sized portions, patatas bravas had the right amount of kick to it. Thought we would sample different drinks this time and we went for a Penelope Cruz and the Espresso Martini, both very nice, I do like Espresso Martinis and this was definitely one of the better ones I've had. Never have an issue with the food, drinks or service here.

We were just passing in the evening, stopped for a coffee, ended up having a glass of wine and dessert. From start to finish, friendly and welcoming, the staff were great, atmosphere nice and buzzy without being too loud, and our food and drinks were swift to arrive and excellent. Will be back.

Excellent tapas in the heart of Newcastle. Portion sizes are good and the menu is varied enough that you could easily get something different on multiple repeat visits. The two of us had 2 tapas each plus a sharing plate, with some bread for mopping up various sauces, which I'd highly recommend because they're great. All the dishes were very flavourful and service was fast. Highly recommend the chorizo and black pudding as well as the lamb tagine. Brownie for dessert (not pictured) was also excellent.
