Went on the afternoon for a few birthday drinks. Was a lovely setting. Beautiful inside. Fantastic cocktails. Great views over Newcastle. Definitely worth a visit. Afternoon tea looked fantastic.
Very swanky , up market type place. Table service with lots of smiles and personal touches - excellent service. Beautiful views of Newcastle. Choice of two seating areas, tall stools or lower comfy sofa type seats. Beautiful decor inside. Bit pricey but worth it for an occasional treat.
This is on top of the Vermon hotel. 12th floor. Great views of both the river side and city side. The castle is literally right in your face. Amazing sunset views. A bit chilly after dark but they do offer blankets if you fancy sitting outside. There is plenty seating inside. It's very nicely done. They do offer did and cocktails. Only 3 beer choices all in a bottle. I didn't eat sand only had a couple of beers which were about £10 each. I highly recommend it.

Situated at the top of the building, being probably the best Club - bar in Newcastle and one of the best in the UK offering superb views of Newcastle, the Bridge, and the river. Exceptional service by staff. Lots of very nicely decorated space inside, offering good vibes and music. Nice balcony with plenty of seats to enjoy on a warm day / night. Offering discounts to clients that use the groups other enterprises like hotels.

If you happen to be in Newcastle… this is one place you have to visit. Very classy rooftop bar on the 12th Floor with AMAZING views. Had such an amazing time. The service is also 5* with very friendly staff and is also prompt. Only drawback is menu variety, could do with a few additions. That said its ABOVEall 5*
It embodies the spirit of an elegant bar. It is beautifully and recently decorated. The view outside is impressive. There are numerous options for high-quality drinks and cocktails. The prices are on the expensive side and are not suitable for everyday visits. I recommend enjoying a drink there with friends.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Above rooftop bar in Newcastle, thanks in no small part to the amazing service provided by waiters Hamza and Aaran. These two went above and beyond to make my visit truly unforgettable, and I can't thank them enough for their attention to detail and friendly demeanor.
From the moment I arrived, Hamza and Aaran made me feel right at home, offering recommendations from the impressive cocktail menu and answering all of my questions with patience and expertise. They really elevated the experience and made it clear that they take pride in their work, which is always refreshing to see.
And of course, the cocktails themselves were truly delicious. The "Above the Clouds" gin cocktail was a standout, and I appreciated the care that went into crafting each drink to perfection.
Overall, I would highly recommend Above to anyone looking for a stylish and sophisticated rooftop bar in Newcastle. The views are breathtaking, the decor is chic, and the service is truly top-notch, thanks in large part to the efforts of Hamza and Aaran. Thanks again for a wonderful evening!

The food was delish, and the lux atmosphere is great - perfect excuse to get dressed up!
Maybe things a little slow, but regardless of that it’s great to be out with friends and family, that a few extra minutes waiting on drinks is okay as the views are outstanding!!
I for one feel much more understanding of the hospitality industry after how much they suffered in the Pandemic.
You can see the staff are working very hard and getting use to their new venue.

Great staff, perfect view of the river, food was nice and service was fast. For a rooftop bar in this kind of position represents great value. Extra points: the staff made effort to cater for us as we were here with our 1 year old daughter.
Absolutely outstanding place to visit. High tea and cocktails with my best friend with a view like that WOW! Staff are friendly and nice. Lovely feel of the venue will be back.
Fantastic views of Newcastle Tyne bridge. Some of the best tasting cocktail drinks I've tasted. Staff were excellent polite and very happy and friendly.
Only thing that spoilt the experience was the cheeky toilet attendant. Telling me I didn't tip him enough was way out of order. I couldn't believe it after all the other staff went out their way to make this bar such a excellent place. Despite this I'll still give 5 stars as other staff were brilliant.. Thanks guys.
Unmatched views of the whole city, very cool interior and an excellent food and drinks menu.
Above is a must see, good for date nights, catch ups, girls night.. really great vibe and excellent customer service.. security and door staff always friendly and professional. Highly recommend!!
