Great pub, with great atmosphere. A lot of TVs for watching the premier league matches.
Visited in the afternoon, pub has a bit of character to it, clientele older drinkers, no problem, staff friendly

Managed it in the 80s proper town centre bar well used beer good and cheap good people good staff a must for anybody visiting the town, don't look for food!! It's a proper bar.
Some consider it a bit rough compared to the glamour of the nearby quayside pubs. Personally I prefer the honesty and friendliness of genuine local drinkers. It'll do fa me. 👍

Fantastic high street pub. The landlady and bar staff know everyone and if they don't they make a real effort to make you feel welcome. Everybody seems to get on. A good town pub that's good for locals and strangers.
Yeah great bar don't mind going in at all! Drinks are a bit more expensive then other bars on high Street... but it's canny
