once you manage to open the dodgy entrance door, it’s all good, a warm friendly welcome with a smile and you can already sense that it will be good. on the table already waiting was a glass of water, bread and 3 sauces, tapenade, aioli and a salsa verde. the menu is small
Recommend having 1 of everything and sharing it all. Chef is unreal, service was class and was attentive when needed. The thing that makes this restaurant brilliant is that it's a small selection of food, done incredibly well! Everything feels fresh and truly made for you. Visited 14/02 and had an amazing experience. The service was great. The food was delicious and had good portions. I would highly recommend the soft shell crab and beef cheek.

What an amazing place. It seats about 15 covers and you are likely to be sat right next to people that you don’t know, unless you hire the whole place which the owner told us was possible.

The Small Canteen is, surprise, small. And the menu is also pretty small, with a choice of 3 starters, 2 mains and 3 desserts. But definitely do not think about being put off by any of that. The menu is clever and all of the food tasted fantastic
