Lovely pretty place to visit! Plenty home baked choices, and dietary requirements catered for. Table service was lovely, and our waitress was so friendly, and remembered the children's names. Courtyard seating outdoors if preferred. Lake behind courtyard too. Suitable for blue badge holders, and free parking on site. We will definitely return.

We had a lovely cup of Latte and. Chocolate Beer Cake. Pity they are serving a limited menu due to not having a chef. Hubby and I enjoyed the coffee and thought the cake was interesting. The place is charming and outdoor seating on a lovely weather was all you need. Dog’s welcome is a bonus even if we don’t own one but makes us happy to see friendly pooches around. The little shop (The Larder) is where you go to make your payment, carries some interesting wares. Nice little stop on our ‘Aimless Roadtrip’ 😃

Popped in for a cuppa after taking dog to Bolam lake, What an absolute delight, delicious food , marvelous atmosphere, and the Robson Northumbria pipe band ( totally unexpected) to play a few tunes, Bought some art from one of the vendors ( local artist too) Magical couple of hours Highly recommended

Clare and Angela were so welcoming. The food was beautiful. We had soup and cheese scones. The soup was so tasty, the presentation was pretty and the scones were really really good. I also just had to have a cake and it was as wonderful as it looked. The fire was on and the cafe has such a great charm. It was stormy outside so there were only a few of us (another group coming out as we went in) but the cafes decor and the lovely friendly staff made the atmosphere of this cafe lush. I have been in the summer and Christmas but this is an all year round gem! If you are visiting belsay it's well worth going a bit further north and being right opposite Wallington makes it perfect to visit before or after your walk. They have loads of events on too. I am not able to make it but the stargazing one in half term sounds unforgettable and so unique. Honestly couldn't sing the praises of this gem anymore! X

The staff were excellent and so helpful in making us comfortable with our two preschool grandchildren. The food was good and the area we were in was quiet with a children's kitchen and books, which went down a treat. Fuss was made over the girls, which they lapped up of course. Will certainly return!

Called in for a quick coffee stop. Very friendly and helpful staff, my decaffeinated coffee was perfect and I even had a freash made (warm) vegan fruit scone, it was delicious, next time I will try the vegan cheese scone. Husband had hot chocolate and cream scone, he said they were both delicious. We'll done everyone. The walk around the ponds was lovely too. Lots of wild life to see

It's a lovely spot to sit outside in the sun and have some lunch. Not your usual coffee shop menu: when the bacon, sausage and egg sandwiches come with salad you know it's a a notch up. They also have things like goat's cheese. Not cheap, but worth it. Pro tip: make sure you check the specials board by the main building otherwise you'll miss quite a bit!

Such a fabulous place to enjoy a tasty brunch. We were lucky that the sun was shining, so we sat outside watching the birds as they tried to steal some crumbs. It's such a peaceful place, the perfect spot to unwind.

Incredible staff. Brilliant food. Catered for our awkward troop of dairy and gluten allergy sufferers brilliantly. Felt safe feeding my youngest there. Thoroughly enjoyed the first gluten free baked treats I've had in years without that gluten-free-taste. Honestly these were as good as my nans scones from back when I could eat those.

I always call in here on to and from Scotland from Leeds. Lovely quiet place. Great glass shop here selling their homemade products. We bought a mirror there - £250

We'd hoped to sit outside but the weather was against us; still, not too busy inside and delicious scone with coffee. Well worth the trip out! Sorry, enjoying myself too much to take photos.
