Great flavour and variety in a crunchy baguette. A great mix of spicy and mild, but also meaty and veggie. Got the Chicken Patties which were spicy and sticky, with the dusted fries, the garlic married well with it. Brother got the SML he said was really flavourful and glad he got the siracha with it. Meal deals came out ar about £12 for baguette, chips and drink. Staff were kind and helpful.

The Big Banh @ 280 Chillingham Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 5LQ My first ever Vietnamese Banh was in Vietnam itself - Ho Chi Minh City. That was nearly 5 years ago, and I've always sought after great Banhs after that. The Big Banh in Chilly Road does a great job when it comes to Banhs. It's a fusion of Vietnamese spices with herbs that also suit the local tongue. Naturally, I would prefer more heat in the cuisine served. It was still delicious nevertheless. The Ve - Crispy Pan-Seared smoked tofu slices marinated in soy, chilli & lemongrass Sloppy Joe Rice Bowl - Beef Ragu with lemongrass & Chilli If you're looking for a fusion style Banh Mi, here's your go to place.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Amazing friendly chatty and enthusiastic people. I had the marinated tofu and chilli sandwich. I've been a vegetarian over 30 years and this is THE BEST VEGGIE SANDWICH EVER!!! I swear even if you aren't a vegetarian you will love it. Absolutely heavenly. Gloriously spicy, good crunchy veg, tofu had the most amazing flavour. Fantastic texture and an perfect combo of sweet, spicy, creamy plus a good chew. Tried it at Gosforth Beer Festival. Honestly a revelation. I had to go back to praise the sandwich geniuses. I would happily eat their sandwiches ever day for the rest of my life. Everyone needs sandwiches of this quality in their lifes. Go now!! You will never regret it. Staff were very professional and nothing any trouble.

Ordered the breakfast egg banh and added sausage… it was honestly amazing. Probably the best breakfast sandwich in Newcastle!

I initially thought £10 was a bit steep for a bahn mi (they're usually ~£4 in my native australia) but it was an impeccable sandwich and well worth the price. Very generous portion size, the pork was tender, the bread was soft but crispy and the sandwich had all the traditional fillings. The vietnamese coffee was legit too, condensed milk and all.

Amazing food and fantastic service! We had the Abello 13 sandwich and it was incredible! Staff were lovely and up for a chat, you can really tell they take care and have a lot of passion for the food they make! 100% a must try if you are passing by for lunch! Great sized portions, we had the lunchtime deal which includes a side and a drink and we were stuffed! Thanks for a great experience!
