Always excited when visiting Grainger Market. Happen to chance upon a really authentic Xian food stall in my most resident visit (March 2024), serving some delicious Paomo and Chinese burger. Name of this establishment is Noodle Box and Chinese Burger. A little pricey but the portion and quality made up for it. Could be a bit cheaper .

Fab fresh fast food stalls. We tried the fresh pizza by the slice, and it was perfect! 👌🏾 Also recommend the noodle bar and the dumplings. Highly recommend the pizza and dumplings. There is a cheese shop with a great selection of local cheeses. Baker's shops were disappointing - not the selections we were expecting. We didn't buy anything from the other stalls, but there did look to be some good products being sold in some of them. A real mix of old school traditional market clothes, household goods, and produce with a smattering of hipster stalls and shops. It was fun to walk around.

The roof has been restored to a fantastic level. Great of shops in here, not so many of the traditional ones as there used to be. Like butchers and greengrocers but still some. Fantastic place to go for "street food" such a diverse selection. Don't forget in the Grainger Market is the smallest Marks & Spencer store. No Greggs stottyrama these days though, probably showing my age with saying that.

It's a clean, friendly, well decorated market with special atmosphere. Good place to buy some fruit, vegetables, pastries and meat. There some cafes to pass your time.

It's good to find the selection of alternative shops in Grainger Market without having to leave the main shopping area. Plenty of choice here, with food shops, clothing and hardware. For example, enjoy the taste of India at Snackwallah, try the French treats from the French Oven, look for gifts or buy clothing. It's all under cover so you can keep warm and dry while you browse and shop.

This is a small closed roof market where you can find local bakers, Indian foods, local coffee vendors, apparel and jewellery counters. Best place to spend some time in a vibrant place with food enthusiasts...do visit this place. Double yolk eggs are also available. Rest room available. It is adjacent to Victoria arcade. If you like my review pl don't forget to like it.

A hidden gem in Newcastle. A vibrant market full of independant traders. The atmosphere is old school but wonderful. Great range of produce and best value. Get your food including veg, meat and household items here and support small business.

Nice city market with a wide selection of food products, butchers, fishmongers and delicatessens, together with a wide choice of shops selling local and traditional products, barbers, shoemakers, fabrics and so on. A special mention deserves the choice of restaurants, pubs and snacks which ranges from traditional English with a special eye to Northumberland products to the most diverse ethnic ones such as Indians and Cubans.

It is one of the most interesting and authentic attractions in this city to me. Locating in the city centre and opening from Monday to Friday, you can access here without any difficulty. As a Grade I listed building built in 1835, you will have strong traidtional and nostalgia feelings from its architecture. According to Newcastle Government website, there are over 100 small businesses and self employed independent traders. For example, there are shops selling meat, fish, plantations, clothings and even health products. Besides, you can also find Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian street food and even hand craft beer here. Thanks for the great work of frontline staff, the environment is clean, neat and tidy. I really enjoy the atmosphere of local community and supporting small business. Highly recommended!

An original part of Newcastle which I love wandering through. Find it on your Newcastle visit (easily missed) and have a visit. It won’t be to everyone’s tastes but its real people and businesses. I really like a walk back in time but interestingly new business’s are being included in the Grainger covered market and a bright future is around the corner There are some buildings works on going in part of the market so try and be patient until they are completed

Great market, the variety of stalls provide for just about everything; fresh produce, clothing, accessories etc. Also many places to eat/drink and hairdressers/barber. Nice place to come and browse, then sit and get some food whilst watching the world go bye. Still quite a few stalls closed, but hopefully all will open in future. It's nice to see this place busy.
