Excellent food. I haven't been for a long time due to the kids being picky and not wanting anything with flavour. But after driving back from a long day at work, knowing the family had eaten already, I dropped in. Ordered at the door after a quick look through the menu. The staff were great, very helpful, polite and patient. There is a lot of choice but in the end I went for chicken with spring onion and ginger, boiled rice and a portion of salt and chilli chips. I then went back and sat in my car and waited. They brought the food to my car within 10mins. As I said before, it was excellent. Sadly the rest of the family also realised that I had bought this so they all came down and tucked in too. The chicken was very tender and it was a good portion. Chips were amazing. The menu was then passed around and the kids are placing their order for when I next go back - think they are hoping that is tomorrow. Can't rate them highly enough, thanks

Very large bits of meat and there was lots of people waiting in there so that's a good sign. It looks like they do pizza as well but I didn't other that I tried the Chinese food and it was all great. Fast service and would go back there as well. Free on street parking and they do a delivery as well.
Whilst living in Hazlerigg this was our closest Chinese Takeaway and I never had a bad meal even once, amazing food and delivered piping hot, I couldn’t recommend them enough,
Food was a bit below par last couple of orders but they have gone well out of their way to rectify the issue. The food has been of high quality in the past. If the Facebook post about my review could be removed too I'd appreciate it.

Ordered on Saturday at about 6pm and order was ready to collect in 15 minutes and food was brought over to my car very promptly on arrival. Excellent service, especially for how busy GT are on a Saturday. All food was still piping hot after the 10 minute trip home.
We ordered a variety of sides to share and the egg fried rice, chips and soft noodles were all of a good standard and the portions were more than enough to have some leftover for the next day (which is always a major plus in my book).
For mains we had Chicken in plum sauce and Chicken in Cantonese sauce. Two nice sweeter dishes and both had plenty of flavour, my preference would be for the Cantonese sauce as it had a little bit more tang than the Plum sauce but you can’t go wrong either way if you’re looking for a sweet dish to add to your order. Also the curry sauce which I used on the sides had a good flavour and spice to it which was appreciated because curry sauces elsewhere often lack a good level of spice.
However, where Golden Touch really elevates itself above the competition is the quality of its meat. The chicken was extremely juicy and tender and probably the highest quality chicken I’ve had from a Chinese. Many other takeaways and restaurants tend to lose the tenderness of the chicken when it’s deep fried but that’s definitely not the case here.
Great service and very high quality food that was full of flavour. I’d highly recommend Golden Touch.

We've ordered from her for 6 years and without fail, every single time we have asked for Gluten free they have accommodated where they can. Never once have we had a bad meal - it has always been beautiful which is why we continue to go back even after moving from the area.
The service we've received has always been exceptional- even on busy nights the staff are always courteous and helpful.
During the pandemic the guys at Golden Touch have went out of their way to care for the community- I've never seen anything like it from any other take away.
Massive well done and thank you to these guys- this is why we just keep coming back time and time again.
New to the area and trying to find some good takeaways, order at the door service and wait in your can something I'm not used to but like it and the gentleman brought me my order, very nice i thought. ordered a meal for 1, salt and chilli wings and a chicken chow main £25 to me moving here from Edinburgh I thought this was a bit expensive as i would have paid around £15 in Edinburgh for thus order however I paid and got home and I wasn't disappointed portion sizes different compared to what I'm used (smaller) but wel worth a visit. I'll return but read the menu for prices first.

These guys have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to feed their outstanding food to hungry GTers. We’ve been ordering from here for many years now and this review is long overdue as every meal is always top notch! Thanks for everything you guys do and keep up the good work.
