Lovely and friendly 'chippy'. Decent prices and good quality. I like the novel fact that it also doubles up as a 'wet fish' shop, selling fish fillets and cod bites.
I will definitely return !
Best chippy in the North East. Great staff. Great fresh fish, I travel 7miles for this chippy when I have one on my doorstep about 100 metres away.
Best curry sauce period.
Back again today (24/07/22). Ordered jumbo sausage and chips and Cod Bites and chip.
Hangover now cured.
Best chip's ever nice and fresh, also had pineapple ring.
A nice little takeaway, chips were well cooked with flavourful potatoes. Nice that they offer smaller portions too - the small chips, small fish and small pot of mushy peas are pictured, plus Tarte sauce. It's worth checking out the specials board too. I was a little sad not to see onion rings on the menu, but they had black pudding and haggis there. Pop is a little pricier than normal, so I got my own elsewhere. Will visit again if I'm in the area
Partner came on Friday evening and had cod and chips first time in a while
Fish large and said was lovely and tasty batter crispy not soggy like other places
Chips cooked well ,enough salt ,vinegar
Large haddock and chips £8. Cooked there and then. Mocked politely and in good humour for entering via the exit door. First class food and entertainment, what a combo.
First visit. There was a small wait because it was busy but consider that a good sign. Fish and chips lovely, not greasy
Large haddock & chips is enormous & a great price. Really good food & excellent, friendly service.
Highly recommended! Lovely staff and very tasty food. They do great special deals too. Wonderful fish and chips!
Huge portions accompanied by friendly staff made it a superb dinnertime experience.
Lovely and clean fish shop. The fish and chips were both very tasty. I wasn't keen on the mushy peas, they seem to be lacking something, tasted watery to me!
