Went for dinner before a show at the theatre next door. The staff were lovely and the food was great! It's the first time I've been in after driving past regularly for over 30 years and I'd happily go back.
Amazing service nothing too much of a bother for them. Even made sure bairn wasn't burnt by plates. Top marks for caring. Made sure food was perfect too.
I have been here a few times over 15-20 years, but this was the first time I wasn't that impressed. Don't get me wrong, there wasn't anything particularly wrong, but it was little things like serving tacos in an army mess tin that wasn't practical and just seems a bit odd. We tried to order bbq burn
Excellent service. Sarah the assistant manager processed my refund with efficiency and understanding when I had to cancel my booking at the last minute due to flight delays. The hotel looks great and I look forward to staying in the near future. Many thanks to Sarah!
Lovely staff who were very helpful. Food good & plentiful.Room a little dated but spotlessly clean & warm & everything you needed was provided.Great location for me as needed to be nearby the Freeman hospital which was basically a short bus ride away & bus stop right outside the hotel.Would definate
Can't fault the corner house really. The food is good quality, some of it is microwaved but for the price you cannot go wrong. The 2 adults 2 kids meal deal for £15 is an absolute steal. Drinks are overpriced slightly but to be expected for a chain pub.
Friendly staff, great value food, good portions, tasty. Good parking round the back of the pub too.

called in for preshow drinks as we were early for doors opening at people's theatre next door. friendly, helpful staff very reasonably priced food and drinks so we decided to go back after the show for food. will definitely return at some point. 👍
Nice food as usual, pity the twinnings tea was no better than dish water (no taste at all) I must remember to bring some proper tea bags next time..
Great service, this venue catered for my football team post game on a saturday, food was very good and promptly came out, they reserved a large section near some TV's for us all, great service and we will definitely use this venue again!
