Gorgeous grubs at Goose grazing ground.
The service, standard of quality and lashings of Stella I received at one The Goose pub by Stonehouse was by far superior to that of any Wetherspoons or Country pub I have ever been too. The smiling staff, the charming setting and the beautiful carvery I ate in almost a gust of breath was amazing. I couldn’t help myself but try the dessert menu and I was obviously thrilled. I would have bought another potion if I wasn’t so full already. Thank you too all the staff for a delightful day out with the kids in my family. ( great kids menu as well! Who can argue with bottomless ice cream )
Love the new meal deals a pizza and a drink on Mondays or a burger nd a drink on Thursday for £7.99. Then if theres 2 of you 2 pizzas nd a bottle of wine for £15 or prosseco for £20 are amazing is value for money plus the service is always fantastic. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend the Goose to all my friends and family.
Amazing food, quick service and very friendly staff. Something that's all even better for a excellent price, if your not wanting to spend fortunes but like your money's worth this is the place to eat/drink in town!
Good place for food and drink and good for all the family cheap prices and good meal deals on a Monday can get a pizza and a drink for less the 8pound even know the pizza was more then that alone so such good value will deffently be back in for more
Good food, friendly staff and a great welcoming atmosphere. Great place to chill out and a have a couple sociable drinks, good food at a good price too!
Me and my wife discovered this pub about 3 years ago and have been visiting at least once a week ever since, we always enjoy the carvery, The staff are friendly &helpful. The food and drinks are good value for money, what more could you want.
Would recommend to anyone.

Brilliant and excellent atmosphere I had a carvery from there for my lunch last week and it was amazing would definitely recommend to Friend or family member or even take them with me some time, burgers and wraps also are amazing. great! Value for money since you get chips and sides with the wraps and burgers and pizzas even better you can keep going back to get more sides ;) definitely worth a visit!!!!!
First time eating here ... was lovely husband had carvery and I had a burger doubled up with a chicken breast....with all u can eat salad chips and veg.....loved it we had to try all u can eat breakfast this morning.....think this is hubbys new fav place when we In Newcastle
Was fantastic grub ..Carvery is amazing and the next day I had the fish and I have to say that excellent aswell the staff where very friendly even though the place was packing we didn't have to wait long for service...

I recently had a delightful experience at The Goose in Newcastle. My friend and I purchased a Groupon deal for a 2-course meal for two, and from the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a friendly barmaid who provided us with all the necessary information. Despite the slight setback of only turkey being available at 7 pm for the carvery option, our experience was overwhelmingly positive.
Upon noticing the cauliflower cheese looking a bit tired, I mentioned it to the barmaid who happened to be the manager on duty, named Shiv. She was incredibly accommodating and promptly arranged for a fresh batch to be prepared while we waited comfortably. The dedication of both the chef and Shiv to ensuring our satisfaction truly stood out, and they exceeded our expectations with their customer-focused approach.
Although the male toilets left much to be desired with their overpowering smell and hygiene concerns, the exceptional food quality and top-notch service more than made up for this minor inconvenience. I would highly recommend The Goose for its delicious food and outstanding service, but I do advise ensuring a visit to the restroom elsewhere beforehand or exercising caution during your stay. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we look forward to returning for another memorable dining experience
I have recently ordered 2 too good to go bags from The Goose Stonehouse and they were both absolutely excellent value for money.
On both occasions I paid £3.29 for the roast carvery and also on both occasions the tubs were filled to the brim.
The quality of the food was excellent and as was the service, I do recommend to anyone in the surrounding area.

Staff member - James - provided great service and made the visit a pleasure. I had a fantastic pizza which was delicious. James then offered us desserts - really attentive service - not great for my waistline however! Ha ha !
Very well managed pub.
In terms of constructive feedback - I would outline the need for new TVs and new projector for the football! As TVs have a poor quality picture and the projector seems to be very faint with a stained screen.

After a day visiting Newcastle we stopped here for tea after booking online.
Some of the group ordered the carvery, that was ok except some of the veg looked like it had sat there all day and had gone dry but the meat was tasty as were the potatoes.
Some of the group ordered off the main menu and these we nice and cooked fresh.
The desserts were very nice.
Apart from the dried out veg we had a nice meal and the staff were very good.
Went for a meal, a few drinks. Nice atmosphere good value. Ordered burgers which were very tasty!
We booked a table and our server James looked after us well. I accidentally booked for too little people but James sorted this out for us no hassle. Happy service!

The service staff are fantastic especially Daniel, he made me feel so welcome and nothing was an issue, I would highly recommend the kebab wrap with chips and garlic sauce it's 10/10
Awesome place to watch the match. I always go with my friends and the atmosphere is electric. The staff are really friendly and helpful, even the bouncers are in good spirits and helped me when I was having a difficult time with a panic attack lol. Five well deserved stars and three thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Went out for a staff night out and the staff working shift couldn't of been better for us. Shania, Lucie and Shiv give great service and the food was amazing from the kitchen team. Thanks for a great night will definitely be back
My favourite pub in Newcastle since i was student back in 2003. Very big pub with lots of screens to watch sports. Is located in the city centre next to the shops. Sunday roast is amazing and definitely recommended. There is a big variety of beers and ales you can enjoy.
Lovely sunday roast only thing I would suggest is needs homemade yorkshires not frozen ones need more staff on bar on a sunday

It was my first time there and the food was excellent and very good value and all was nice and hot and staff were very polite and friendly looking forward to my next visit
5 stars please to Tyler. Who was very accommodating when serving my lunch. I had a broken arm and he cut up my meat n Yorkshire for Me. Very pleasant.
Loverly visit today and we never leave a review but credit were due the carvery was the best we had for a long time we definitly will return and dave the chef deserves a mention 👌
