Stayed at the pub over the weekend. Had a great time, good company in the pub, good food and also reasonable proced drinks. Stayed in the rooms above. Comfortable beds and good nights sleep. Would highly reccomend staying here.
Stopped in on a Saturday in time for the Newcastle game. Food was excellent and value for money, and the staff were really polite and helpful even while it was busy with the game being on. Definitely will come back again
I was staying in the Premier Inn across the way for work and I'm glad I came over to this little gem. For the same price I'd pay for a bland burger I got some really nice meatballs for starters and a creamy carbonara with some tasty garlic bread. Definitely coming back again.
Had a really nice and well priced meal here. With nice cocktails. Our waitress Sophie B was the best.
Came for Sunday dinner. Absolutely lovely and great value. Highly recommend and will return!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I stayed her with my family for a night. The restaurant part was great. The rooms however, weren't so great. For starters when we arrived, before we even settled in, the strike plate of the door lock came out of the wall after my brother opened the door. It came out so easily becasue it was only secured into the wall with 1 screw, instead of 2. The smoke detector in our room was also hanging off the ceiling and wasn't screwed in properly. The bathroom wasn't very good either. The bathroom door doesn't have a lock on it. There's also no toilet roll holder in the bathroom either, but because the bathroom itself is so small, the sink is positioned right infront of the toilet and makes it very hard to sit on the toilet. Also, there's no shower mat in the shower and I almost slipped up a couple of times
Popped in for beer after a walk in the area. Had no real ale on, but had Neckoil for a relatively good price of £4.65! Ended up staying for a while & having food. The prices were very good & had first class fish & chips.
Stayed there 2 nights, the room was very clean and in great condition.
The staff are so lovely, I have food intolerance and they went well above what I expected to accommodate me.
I will definitely go there again.
We were going to Toby carvery but it was an hour wait. Popped in here and so glad Toby’s was full. Food was delicious especially the cheesy garlic mushrooms. We then both had the Sunday roast one chicken and one beef. Wow 5 different veg, roast and mashed tatties and a huge Yorkshire pudding. All
This covered in delicious gravy. Price was amazing as were the staff well worth a visit.
Popped in for a quick meal. Very friendly staff and super fast service. The steak exceeded expectations, bettering other much more expensive ones we have had. and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Good value for the price, which is very reasonable.
Stayed here with family for the night. Room is cheap and cheerful. Clean and tidy. Food was absolutely spot on! Great value for money.
Only gripe really would be the bathroom in room 2 could do with the sink moving to the other side as I had to sit sideways on the loo as the sink is infront of the toilet! 🤣
We moved nearby recently and so have tried this place a few times, always has been a nice chilled atmosphere, (apart from the Euros when it was a full of England fans and a really good night out.) Went for dinner tonight and as per usual the food was lovely, very much home style, quality pub grub with generous portions, I highly recommend the cottage pie. All of the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Nothing bad to say about the place really, I advise stopping in for a nice pint of Guinness and some salt and pepper chips at the very least! My partner strongly believes the biscoff cheesecake is the best desert she has ever eaten.
Famous for its food for reasons you are just one mouthful away from understanding. If you seriously want to start your day with a smile I can recommend their Big Breakfast. It is just amazing and well worth wearing a pair of those pants with an elasticated waist.
Very nice and modern place to stay, the rooms were recently updated however some guests didn't respect there work as a draw was damaged, the taps to the shower were coming away from the wall and the doors to the shower has a gap due to the doors not being in line. However the rooms are still great with some nice fancy features, yet the shower could do with some more pressure.
A breakfast was included in our stay and the full English breakfast was cooked to perfection. It includes, coffee/tea or soft drink, bacon, 2 sausages, hash brown, fried egg, 1 full slice of fried bread, mushrooms, beans, friend tomatoe, black pudding. It was all in at £40 which is the best value for money hotel I have ever stopped in.
The only reason why I couldn't rate a full 5 stars is cause of a bit of noise at midnight down stairs at the bar, but this is expected at a bar .
We had a takeaway Lamb and Beef Sunday Lunch today along with a Honeycomb and Biscoff Cheesecake desert, I have to say the Dinners were so delicious, loads of meat, homemade Yorkshire Puddings, and tasty veg. Fantastic value for money and the Dinner was piping hot on Delivery. So impressed with everything we will most definitely be repeating the orders! And also one of of the best homemade cheesecakes I have ever eaten!
