Perfect little hideaway. Very friendly and helpful staff and even the other patrons say hello. But.......sssssshhhhh don't tell anyone else. It's beauty is the fact that it's not overcrowded.

This particular Caffè Nero is desirable because it's generally quiet for being just off Northumberland Street. It has seating on both the ground floor and first floor, so be sure to check upstairs if it looks busy from the entrance. My most recent visit on Saturday 23rd March 2024 at 11:15 was let down by service. When ordering my drink the barista asked if I wanted the "original blend or the single origin blend". He asked me this while the coffee grinder was going so I only caught the end of the question. To which I replied "no thank you". Rather than repeat the question, which I had obviously misheard, the barista snarkily replied "It's either one or the other". My grievance with this encounter lies mainly with the fact that the barista has failed to appreciate that I may well have had a hearing issue. Simply repeating the question would have been sufficient. Beyond that, the flat white I ordered was well balanced and served at a good temperature.

I love to get my coffee from Caffè Nero. So close to Northumbria campus which makes it so convenient. I rely on their coffee when studying. They offer student discount and loyalty stamp card on their app, which is great. Absolutely, recommend it.

Very popular coffee shop given its location near the bus stops and the Civic Centre, excellent if you need somewhere quiet to duck into to take a break from the everyday. Also handy for impromptu meetings and working on the go.

A great branch with hard working staff and lots of cosy seating options! One of the nicest Cafe Neros I’ve ever visited, perfect for a coffee or as a working/study spot.

Nice café with friendly staff. Of course the coffee is good. The place can be quite busy and is next to a rather busy street, but still a great place to kick back and enjoy a coffee and a chat with friends.

Called in this morning for a quick breakfast on the go and ended up with porridge and jam and it was bloody lovely!! Never had it with jam before but it will now be my go to thing! The two ladies working there are very nice too!

Love this coffee shop. One of my favourite places to work with fast and free Wi-Fi, loads of plugs, great loyalty offers on the coffee, and really friendly staff. Just wish there was some healthier food options but that’s not the fault of the coffee shop.
