This has always been a good pub, but since the change of management in January 2016 things have really taken off. The menu has improved, the range of beers has improved, the friendly ambiance has improved, they've introduced a cocktail menu and brought in some great new staff that have really lifted the place. The pub has been in the doldrums for the past couple of years and we are so pleased to see it now getting better at such a rapid rate. We had a great Friday night and came back for Sunday lunch. Five stars.
Been here today with mam, sister and 2 kids. 2nd time ive been and it just gets better. Amazing atmosphire, great freindly staff and truely amazing Sunday Dinner. 2 courses for just under a 10er and by far the best Sunday dinner in Newcastle!! An easy 10/10 from myself and family ........ even kids. Great work guys �
We are so lucky to have The Halfmoon as our local. The food is excellent and what makes the pub atmosphere, is the friendly welcoming staff.
Took my parents for there 47th wedding anniversary meal absolutely lovely 😊, my dad is type 2 diabetic and his blood sugar goes mad after a meal out because of processed food, he took his bloods and they were perfect; excellent home cooked food, exactly what it says on the tin! Thanks

Sunday lunch was fabulous! Homemade soup for starters served with warm bread. Good sized portion of meat and plenty of veg and gravy to go round and the sticky toffee pudding was heaven.. Staff extremely attentive, thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.
I didn't just love this pub but mine and my partners children loved this pub.... the food was lovely.... all my kids a parky in one way or another so all ordered differently.... I think maybe because of the way the food was presented made the children wanted to try each other's food... a it was a big success.... we will be back.... thank you
Used to be my local but since moving away have held both parents wake here. The food was excellent way too much but beautifully laid out etc. Staff excellent so respectful and attentive

I can't recommend the Half Moon Inn enough, I only contacted them at the beginning of the week to check it was ok for a large party (approx 30) to eat in the restaurant. They have been so accommodating and helpful and the food was lovely. We had around 10 children with us who took full advantage of the play area and our friends from out of the area are already planning a trip in the summer to take advantage of the beer garden! Thanks again
Just had sunday dinner delivered from the half moon. Lovely meal will definately order again.
Great food and great lines of beer/cider/ale. Most of all, the staff let me bring my cat in :)

Love the Half Moon. Cracking atmosphere, with a landlord (Mark) who's doing absolutely everything to make something of the place, and look after his customers. Always a good welcome, fast service, and plenty of things on through the week for people to enjoy.
The new tenants are doing a great job trying to bring this bar back to it's best. A smashing welcome and good beer.

New tenants have got this place buzzing again. Music, karaoke, quiz nights, nearly always something happening. Very friendly.
Really great to see how popular this little pub is. Fantastic atmosphere with a saxophonist playing on the night we visited. Looking forward to another visit soon.
