Lush but I dread to think how many syns I've just consumed staff are lovely and the salted caramel cake is the nicest I've ever had dead cheap as well £1.50 for a massive muffin which took my sweet toothed 8 year old 3 hours to eat will deffo be back on treat day
The only place I will ever order from again! Rachel was so kind and sweet she even helped me with adding special decoration for my brothers 30th Super Mario Cake! What a lovely local business- al my friends asked where I got it made, and easy to say they shall order for you too! Thanks so much - he loved it!
Bought 15 different cakes today from the Stanley shop, everyone loved them!! Would definitely recommend, Thank you :)
After my first visit I was hooked. Food and drinks are absolutely delicious and bargain prices too. Very friendly staff too. I regularly go to treat myself after doing a Parkrun. Going to Dessert Heaven is part of my Parkrun tradition.
Absoultley beautiful cakes so moist and delicious. Owner was lovely will definitely be going back. Would recommend the snicker cake very yummy.
Been following on FB, was up in Newcastle last weekend and just had to pay a visit. Really great shop and fantastic cakes
Simply the best cake shop. Service is personal and friendly, cakes are amazing and great value. Long live local shops.
It definitely is Dessert Heaven. The prices were so reasonable I could afford a slice of cake for everyone. I only paid £1.30 and £1.50 per huge slice of cake. At these prices you'd be daft to pass this shop without popping I. And treating yourself.
Amazing cake store!!! A must!!
Let Viennese People (like me) getting jealous having such a great cake store in Whitley Bay!!
Cute little Bakery ... should be called a Cakery ... Also does breakfast very well.
Lovely staff, quick service and pretty good value.
Parking available around the back, but make sure you arrive early to have a decent chance of getting a table without waiting... It's quite popular.
Opens early at 8am, which isn't usual for this kind of UK establishment ... .. but it does fill up quickly.
Dog friendly also, which I love.
Fabulous food. Great array of cakes, huge portions. Always great food & service. Waiting time for a table good too
Every visit impresses more and more. Great food, brilliant staff and beautiful cakes and pastries. Have not been disappointed.
Brilliant place! Always love going for breakfast but also great for lunches.
Gem of a place, great food huge choice very well priced. Savoury or sweet or both will deffo return.
We have been here for our family breakfast for the last two weeks. The manager/owner is fantastic and very friendly to our toddler. She always makes sure my little one is fed when we go.
Any issues resolved quickly and extremely professional!
See you next Saturday!
What a wonderful place!
I first stumbled across during lockdown, and have since frequented.
The staff are great, always helpful and friendly.
The food is excellent along with the service.
I have nothing negative to say about the place!
A great selection of breads, pies, pasties, pastries, cakes and ice cream all made in house to a high standard. Not to mention the lovely breakfast menu, amazing roast dinners (7 days a week) and all the other delicious meals on the menu.
Not forgetting the lovely outdoor dining area for the nice days.
Cakes & treats are absolutely divine. Booking ahead is 100% recommended if you want to sit inside for food. Served by a lovely girl. Would have liked to receive forks and napkins with takeaway desserts but will know to bring our spares next time, and we decided there would be a next time as soon as we tasted the treats we ordered, definitely worth a visit.
Stumbled across this place on a Facebook Post. We were up at our caravan in Hexham so thought we would have a drive over for some lunch. Absolutely impressed! Staff were cheerful and helpful, service was quick, and the food was so tasty, with a really good selection. We sat indoors as it was a bit chilly, however, they have some nice outdoor seating at the back, with a little outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) to give your dog a wash if you've been for a walk beside the river. Dog freindly, takeaway service and parking. A brilliant find and we shall definitely be back to work our way through the menu!!
Incredible range of pastries, cakes, desserts, including mini crumble and the biggest Viennese whirl I've ever seen in my life! Amazing value too and gorgeous spot on the riverbank to eat my takeaway roast dinner. Genuinely my favourite bakery I've ever been to!
We visited this gorgeous cafe after many recommendations from a Facebook post asking for new places to try. I was surprised by the vast amount of choice on the menu, as looking online prior to the visit, I couldn’t seem to find anything In relation to the menu choice.
The place is clearly VERY popular by many people of all ages. We were lucky enough to get a table for 2 as we arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon, but be mindful that if you are going as a group of 3+ people, there may be a small wait which would mean standing outside.
The place is clearly very tightly run. Staff are always on hand making sure customers are happy with their food. It is also self serve in terms of ordering at the main till. Even when there is a big queue, this goes down super fast due to the amount of staff serving.
There is an abundance of choice when it comes to sweet treats and breads etc. both to sit in and takeaway.
It is clear the staff work very hard to keep the place running.
We both opted for an all day breakfast which was delish.
My mother in law was very poorly in hospital and requested that next time we visited a cafe, to see if we could get her a strawberry tart, so that we did. It gave me and my husband some comfort knowing that she and my father in law enjoyed this together whilst she was in hospital with a very low appetite before she passed away a few days later.
This is the best cafe in the North East! The baked goods are second to none with a selection of delicious pies and pasties. The cakes and pastries are wonderful - particular favourites are the rhubarb cheesecake and giant custard slice. It’s busy but usually there is a table especially with the outside seating. You can pop in for some freshly baked bread, takeaway a mince pie, stay longer for a Sunday roast, or linger over coffee and cake. I don’t yet have pics of the cakes and pastries because they disappear too fast!
There was a wait to get in 10-15 (unsure if they take bookings?) but it was 14.00 so just past lunch time but it shows how popular the place is it’s really worth a visit certainly worth a look up for somewhere to go for food there’s a good menu section & daily specials the cakes are also really good portions (in fact big size portions) they really do taste lovely. My only criticism if I’m trying to find one would be keeping people better informed of wait times but that’s trying to be picky!
First time I've been here and collected some bits for the coronation party. But will definitely be back soon to sit in. All the food looks divine. Friendly staff, dog friendly and huge selection to choose from
Place was full upon arrival, we didn't know you could reserve a table, however; we queued and waiting about 10mins. Staff were friendly and provided us with a table as soon as possible and the food was delicious and efficiently made. Coffees also tasted great and got deserts to take away.
Will return ☺️
We have visited this cafe twice now, and each time the food has been great, fast service with large portion sizes. I would recommend the omelette. There is the biggest selection of cakes and ice cream for eat-in or takeaway. It's very dog friendly too.
Amazing place in a lovely location. Me and my family travel from the north end of Newcastle every now and then to visit this place and were never disappointed. Always a warm welcome and service is impeccable. Food is always amazing, mahoosive variety of bakery goods, deserts and meals to enjoy sitting in or take away. All at a very reasonable price. I recommend you take a trip asap, you won't be disappointed. The sit-in menu is amazing, it allows you to try some of the pies and pastries from the bakery menu mixed with their fresh baked veg and amazing gravy. But if you do opt for take away I recommend trying a local pub/restaurant for a meal. There's loads in the area that are amazing.
Was recommended this place by a friend who recently had Her Hen Party there.
Booked in with my wife for afternoon Tea as part of her birthday treat on Thursday the 21st March.
This was all round excellent. Service, food and everything that went with I could not fault.
Thanks and see you again soon.
Highly recommend! Beautiful breakfasts and the cakes are amazing! Can't wait to visit again soon 😊
