Had long weekend in Newcastle & came here twice for breakfast. Lovely cafe with great staff. So friendly & accommodating. Prices are good. Coffee is strong. Portions are big. What more could you possibly want?
Had to have a second breakfast after walking past this cafe in the market. I like how family it feels. The breakfast platter was definitely good. Love how my eggs were done. Coffee was freshly brewed too.
A mindless walk into grainger market led us to our 2nd breakfast within an hour because we simply had to. Oliver’s smelt so good!

Auf der Suche nach einer Zwischenmahlzeit bei unserem Besuch in Newcastle haben wir in der Granger Market Hall dieses Bistro gefunden. Uns fiel der sehr freundliche - und - bei einigen älteren Gästen - auch die Geduld auf. Die Speisekarte hat ein breites Angebot, eigentlich ist für jeden Geschmack
I’d always go to Grainger market to get fruits and meat. This is our first time to have lunch at Oliver’s. We got English Breakfast with a cup of mocha 😊 It has good ambiance and prefect to engage self in local community
I love this little cafe. We ate breakfast here everyday during our stay in newcastle. It was all very delicious. Even though I did not expect to like the black pudding. The staff was very friendly and the table clean.
We had a lovely hot mug of tea each with a date slice and apple slice.
Very fresh and tasty- home baked- really good.
Will have lunch next time we’re in Newcastle for the day !
Best homemade broth. Ideal on cold days. Well worth it with a soup and sandwich meal deal. So much choice for a small place. 10/10 5***** 👍❤

Great food, great service, great little gem inside the Grainger Market, and the option to change a item. I had a traditional breakfast, and I don't like tomatoes and black pudding, so it was replaced with extra mushrooms and beans, not many places offer that, so I'm very happy.
Visited for an afternoon drink and a cake after a tour round Newcastle. Great hot chocolate and the scones and peach melba’s are glorious….
A good place to get a straightforward meal and tea.
1st time I have been and certainly will not be the last. I only had a scone and tea, scone delicious and pot of tea with good sized jug of milk and pot of hot water. Got 3 cups out of it as I people watched. The staff were attentative and I enjoyed the rapour they had with their elderly custom
