Great pub, I have been here a few times over the years. One of the major attraction points is the veggie menu. The choices are great. In fact I don't think I have seen a menu like this in a very long time. Veggie folk have a big selection...no longer relegated to halloumi strips. Please give this pl
Best Sunday lunch! Plenty of veg, meat cooked beautifully, decent portions and cauliflower cheese on the side. The price is very reasonable, value for money. Nice vibe and lovely staff, no dessert menu but I couldn't have eaten one if I tried, plenty of places to grab something sweet nearby if you f
What a great Sunday lunch! Large portions of delicious food, the beef was amazing! Doggy bags provided for those who can't manage it all in one sitting. Dog friendly too, so perfect for us. I suggest booking if you can, it's popular but even full doesn't feel overcrowded. Now off home for a nap 🤣🤣
Went to the tanners arms for Sunday dinner and my God was it delicious. Very generous portion size, plenty of flavour and a good choice of condiments/sauces which come with the meal. The staff were friendly, the pub was clean and the atmosphere was good. I will be returning very soon.. next weekend
When for Sunday lunch and I’m still thinking about it now. Absolutely outstanding Hefty portion, so much flavour and really ticked all the boxes for a Sunday lunch. Service was great too. Lovely, friendly staff. Will definitely be going back and I would highly recommend to everyone in search of an a
Sunday roast is a must, cooking is excellent and the taste which is very important is awesome, my palate really enjoyed it a lot.🤤 vegetables are perfectly done as well and yes huge serving indeed. Also, theres a wide range of drinks to choose from and with a chilled out atmosphere you will surely e
I came here with my sister & my husband on Sunday without a reservation. We got told it was fully booked upon arrival by someone who was lovely, but another lovely gent popped out and said he could sit us if we sat by the window. We then got moved to a more comfy seat as someone was a no show, which
Top boozer, good rum selection and gin, a good real ale on also. Good vibes in the air, happy times...
My fave pub because of the amazing veggie and vegan food, nice staff, good music, cool art, and it’s really dog friendly! Even giving your dog a free doggie breakfast if you buy a human breakfast. Only drawback is they got rid of the pool table.
One of the best places for Sunday lunch in Newcastle and a really decent pint of Guinness too.
Tried a veggie burger that to be honest i couldn't tell the difference from a meat patty.. was proper lush. And the pub itself has narf changed since i first visited.. Update.. if you like tremendous food & don't mind paying a little bit more for quality then visit the Tanners.. wether your Vegan, V
I had the triple cheese deluxe delivered. It was barely warm when it arrived so it’s hard to be fair. I expect it’s better eating in. It was disappointing. The cheese wasn’t properly melted and the flavours were basic. The patties weren’t super smashed so had a bite to them. A triple was too meaty
Just popped in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon. Didn't have the food, but it looked amazing. Definitely need to book if you're eating as the place was pretty full. Great atmosphere
The food came out a little late but it was well worth the wait! We weren't expecting a portion size of this scale, but we gladly took home another meal's worth of leftovers. The food itself was hearty and flavourful - great balance between simple and inventive. Value for money was such that even at
Busy, friendly, excellent atmosphere, good food and beer.
By far the best Sunday dinner I have had. Service is perfect and staff are lovely. Most definitely recommend this place.
Above average food in a pub setting and really good value and plenty of meat and vegan choices. Nice graffiti and street art vibe adds to the experience. Will be back to work my way through the menu.
Visiting daughter from Northampton. Got a last minute booking. My hubby, daughter and myself have been to many pubs in Newcastle when visiting but nothing like the Tanners. Atmosphere, staff, cleanliness. Lovely. As for the food absolutely fantastic. Huge portions and cooked to perfection, as was th
