We had the cock n cow platter, it was absolutely delicious. Steak was perfectly cooked, chicken was so tender and juicy and the sides were lovely. Combined with the lovely cocktails (and beer) and the lovely friendly staff I would highly recommend
Came for food on the off chance, next time it will be for purpose! Went with the Mrs and she got surf n turf.....perfection, I decided that the whole chicken with Peri peri on side would be for me! Wow! Cooked to perfection and Im told it's going off the menu by the server! Total shame as I've not had any chicken cooked any better from a restaurant never mind a bar grill! #illbeback

Delighted to discover tipsy tea! Our group had a combination of steak, burgers and afternoon tea and they were all superbly presented and quality was excellent.
Good atmosphere and despite being busy we found a great table and the staff were really attentive.

Great place for food, and good atmosphere, Sunday lunch was excellent as were the other meals we ordered. Staff very excellent and very accommodating as my daughter did not like the options on the Sunday lunch menu. Will definitely be back again.
Loved this place, tipsy tea for 4 with my hubby my son and his wife was amazing, value for money and delicious, service was great lovely friendly staff and decor is fab, will defo be returning soon
I was with the funeral party for BRIAN yesterday. Staff opened the bar really early specially for the wake. Food was provided plus 2 free drinks for people. I can only say that it was a beautiful gesture it was in honour of Brian who was a regular at 97. The bar staff were and are great�
Visited for a reunion with a large group of friends (20) yesterday Saturday 5/3/16 for Tipsy Tea. The staff could not have been more helpful, patient and never rushed us even though they were very busy. The 'Tipsy Teas' were delightful, the sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious and more than plentiful ..Excellent value for money and excellent service ..Thank you 97 & Social we had an amazing afternoon 👍Will definately recommend to friends and a return visit is a must 😃
Attended the Sunday Quiz last night and had food with my flat mates! Service was friendly and fun which complimented the overall atmosphere of the bar!
Came last night for my birthday. Arrived and it wasn't really that busy but service was slow... took about ten minutes to be seen by even the guy was in front of us and didn't say he would be with us in a minute... got served.. had a tabled bkd so sat down food came and it was lovely but no one came
To ask if we needed anything else etc.. just a little disappointed by the service and that was mid week
So impressed so busy when we walks in got sat and me and my boyfriend ordered food me - steak and turf and him - full chicken! Both meals cooked to perfection!! I ate mine then ate half of his � plates got cleared and asked about booking again for next week but keep us 2 chickens instead of 1 to hear it's coming off the menu!!! Foaming!!! Chicken was soooooo good wish I could come and collect on a Sunday rather than going to Asda!!! #bringchickenback will 100% be back for more food!!

Good selection of Draught Lager, and great value cocktails. My partner and I couldn't help but notice the impeccable service from the bar staff, one of which, I think was called Danny, was particularly handsome.

The food in unbelievable!! The chicken knocks nandos into the gutter. Forget fingerlicking good, it's hand eating good to get every last bit!! It's definitely the place to be in Jesmond for a night out too. I alway start off here for a cocktail or two

Great venue for bank holiday cocktails and food! Very reasonably priced and 2 for £12 on a huge range of cocktails ☺️ the food was unreal! we were sat in the corner with a TV which was great for showing the football, but the speaker blaring music was far too loud for us to have a proper conversation and did take a couple of requests to turn it down a little. But it didn't spoil our night. Beef tacos were tasty and fresh, frozen margaritas were amazing and zesty! Not watered down like most places!
Lauren and Tyla were the most outstanding example professionalism, and easy on the eyes. Bottomless brunch was fantastic and would highly recommend.
Nice food. Ery decently sized nachos. We ordered it as a starter but could have easily had it as a main. Burger was delicious as well and well presented. Delicious chips. Watched the England game and staff were vert friendly on a super busy shift. I would go again.
Fantastic roast dinner. Beef medium rare and tender. Great selection of veg perfectly cooked. Gravy very tasty. Great value for money.
Tyla and Lauren were absolute stars, 10/10 service, so lovely and friendly. Pints, chit chat and good people

We were visiting our son in. Jesmond. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome . We hadn't booked a table. We were shown to a table. The Sunday lunch was beautiful, and the Yorkshire pudding was huge. The staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, next time we visit our son, we will be back. Thank you 😊

They have some great burgers and starters, the platters are substantial and very fairly priced. Staff has always been very friendly and timely, regardless of how busy the place was. It has a nice outdoor terrace and some cosy indoor tables, the atmosphere is great.
One of my favourite spots in Jesmond, probably in Newcastle too. Highly recommend it!
Amazing! We had the Tipsy Tacos bottomless brunch on New Year’s Day and they did not disappoint. Lovely servers, fabulous food, amazing DJ and OMG the churros!!! 😋😋😋 we will be back!
Great bar often busy with uni folk, bar staff knew their beers, a good selection on tap & cocktail menu. A few screens around for sport. Some comfy sofas, a larger bar stool table and several large booths. Food is Thai inspired from restaurant next door and is VERY good!
