Not enough good can be said about Shearer's. The staff are excellent, always friendly, and quick to help. With a place that offers vegan food as an option, there is always a fear that ordering something like vegan chicken, you may get a real bird. This was never an issue across the multiple times ov
The best bar I’ve ever been to! While I stayed in Newcastle we came to this bar 3 times! Friday we went to visit the store and seen the bar was opening in 10min so we decided to pop in, and have a drink! We went in and I found they had my drink on tap ( Rekorderling Strawberry & Lime) my partner ha
Amazing, friendly, well trained staff. Quality of food and drink fantastic. Very good value for money, half the price i thought it would be. Waited in here and had lunch while our son did the tour, which he really loved. Only £22 for this years shirt in the next in the shop next to bar. Even the
Food prices were surprisingly not expensive, tv's all over showing sport, plenty seating around the venue.
Fine sport bar right at the St. James stadium.. named after Alan the Great! Large indoor space, outside terrace and well chilled Guinness that match perfectly to The Magpies :-) Superb friendly atmosphere and great place to watch the match on TV. Pretty bussy during the game. I really liked original
It was Thursday afternoon but it was still busy. Plenty of draft beers, a good selection of wines and spirits, and plenty soft drink choices. Had Nachos and some chips. The food was served quickly, the nacho chips were lovely. No complaints from this reviewer. Has just been on the stadium tour (anot
Great place to call in for a couple of pints and bite to eat. I had a couple of pints of Madri (£4.70 a pint) which hit the spot nicely. I also had a burger which i thoroughly enjoyed. The service was excellent from the barman who served the drinks as well bringing to food to our table.
Great looking bar and great atmosphere. Although quite on this visit I have been many times before including match day which is as busy as it gets. Good selection of food, Nachos being the choice of the day. Reasonably priced and good quality. Friendly staff and overall good experience. Definitely
Love this place. Come here every time I visit newcastle. The food is really nice and drinks too. Even better on match days. Can't wait to come back again next time I'm in Newcastle.
Just called in for drinks after the stadium tour. Great atmosphere. Service could have been a bit better. My partner ordered coffee, and when we saw someone who came in after us get theirs, she asked, and the response was a bit curt by the server
Best sports bar I've ever been in!
Great atmosphere, helpful staff (particularly security, who helped my dad up the stairs, into the lift and found us a table too) and a must see for any Newcastle fan. Plenty of memorabilia dotted around and pretty good prices considering the bar is located at the stadium. We had a great night here a
Perfect morning drink in here on the 21st January, my partner got down on his knee and proposed . Then we went in club shop and bought some tops.
Great atmosphere, especially on match day as they have a live link to the game. But it does get very busy it can take a while to get served when it busy but the staff are great at recognising who's turn it is to be served. If you're not in before the match kicks off there's a long wait until you get
Popped in after doing the tour around the ground. Staff were pleasant and attentive. I tried the nachos and dips while watching Newcastle vs. Manchester City. The food service was good, and the atmosphere in the bar was brilliant. Good day out . I would recommend visiting to soak up the atmosphere
Great atmosphere on match days
