Gorgous frontage on the river side. Looks like and is an oldy worldy pub with thick stone walls and inside are beutiful beamed ceilings upstairs. Prettiest spoons(externally, riverside) I've visited 💖 yet. Lovely friendly ☺️ staff🏆🎉🎈🥇. Ladies 🚺 loos are upstairs and far away...🙈🏃♀️🧗♀️🏋♀️😂😂.
It's a nice bar right on the Newcastle quayside. It's great value for money and offers plenty of choice of good quality food. The service was good for such a busy place. The staff were polite and friendly. We sat upstairs in a nice room overlooking the river. Thanks.

Ganz toller Pub in super gemütlichen Ambiente. Der Pub liegt direkt am Fluß in einem alten Gebäude. Im Sommer gibt es einen sehr gemütlichen Außenbereich und das Lokal wirkt sehr einladend und urig durch die Lichterketten und die älteren Gemäuer.

Pub in a very old traditional style building overlooking the Tyne. Staff are always very nice and friendly. Great atmosphere. The food is fine but don’t be expecting fancy dishes.
Was under refurbishment when we visited and ale selection was limited for a Spoons. However, spent a good hour taking a break whilst exploring Newcastle's attractions.
It was the best place to have a photo taken holding a Bottle of Dog (Newcastle Brown Ale) With the Tyne Bridge in the background.

You'll find it hard to get better value for money than Westherspoons pubs. On this city break it was ideal for a good breakfast. Been a while since I've been here. Love them or hate them; this is still a great pub since my last visit over 20 years ago.
6 of us, we had full sized meals, side orders, and drinks. £68 where else would you get that. All good and nothing wasted.
