Went for a beer tasting and information session. I have to say that the tutorial was excellent and I would happily do it again. As expected from Box Social we had some great beer though I have to admit to one being a total shock when I first tried it, but enjoyed it in the end. Would seriously recommend this to others.

Great place. Took part in a beer tasting session today. Joe was great; great history of the beers and the brewing process. He tailored our tastings to make sure we had beers we'd enjoy as well as new and exciting flavours that were interesting to try. Almost had me sold on a sour but not quite.. Would definetly recommend the tasting session or, just drop by for great beer, nice atmosphere and a warm welcome!

Popped in last night and great to see the supremely high standards of this cosy little drinking spot never wane. Was poured the wrong pint in error and this was swiftly changed to the correct one without any quibbles. Must have known I was celebrating my birthday as I got to keep both pints! Big Cheers to you! :)

Box social is an excellent little micro and is up there with another micro.. the town mouse! And it thanks to the campfire porter but it got better when thistley cross whisky cask cider arrived... then mix half n half of each and you get what has to be the best pint of snakey ever!

Visited here yesterday evening. Enjoyed the relaxed setting & choice of beer. Lad behind the bar was particularly helpful in letting us try out some tasters when deciding what to get next. Great little micro-pub, good beer & good music getting played!

You need to visit! A cracking little establishment with more than enough ales to keep you going on keg, cask and bottle...(Gins,whiskies too!). A smashing host, the days I was there.Good luck to the Box Social with what they're doing.

Really great selection of bevs, we booked a tasting session but the guy doing it left so we were given the option of refund or just coming in for the five thirds anyway which we did, always worth a visit like i say always a great selection available especially since it's such a small place

My new favourite pub in Newcastle! Really intimate and despite the small size, there's an incredible range of craft beer and ales on tap - hugely impressive. The staff seem really knowledgable and friendly too. Love it!

Great range of beers, very knowledgeable staff. It is pretty small though so if you are a large group get there early! Oh. If you only drink Fosters... don't bother!

Great little bar behind Central Station. We went for beer tasting event. This was really interesting and fun. We had 5x1/3 pints of a wide selection of ales. Well recommended if you are interested. Also recommended as a great place for good beer. (other beverages are also available).

Quite possibly one of the best micro pubs in Newcastle, and with its own beers on tap too! Located in the arches behind the Central Station, you've a couple of floors in what can be described as very cosy. Normally they've approximately 14 taps on of various beers, as well as an ever present cider that's very nice, but very strong. There's always a great selection of their own beers on, as well as some brilliant ones from other breweries, as well as the odd collaboration brew. Prices are what you'd expect, and the team know beers like it's their business to do so... For me, the only improvement would be me being able to get down here more, as I just don't do it enough! Pro tip: Campfire Porter is the best. Ever.

First time to The Box Social , a little gem under the railway arches in Newcastle! Tried the local brewed wheat ale and a cider with whisky- both were amazing! Staff very friendly and welcoming. The Box Social is a venue we will visit next time in town and would highly recommend 🍻

We had a great time at the beer tasting. Leo was very knowledgeable about the ales and the different ways and ingredients needed to produce the flavours. We had 5 very different types of ale to try and the commentary was great. 👍
