Great food (especially the cakes), great staff, great atmosphere! What with Alan's ever changing art gallery and Anthony's ever changing menu it never disappoints. I only wish I had more time to enjoy the delights! Keep up the good work!

Lovely cosy cafe in close proximity to Heaton Park. I went for the breakfast sliders which is a great option if you're not too hungry and you want a bit of sweet and savoury. It was all delicious 👌 The pancakes were the start though, I'd get a stack of them next time.

Love this place, go very regularly. Lovely little menu that changes, not just your standard fry ups and egg options. Not open Mondays. My favourite breakfast place in Newcastle, don't have to book and never not been able to eat. Far superior to anywhere else in Heaton. Lunch menu is also very good

Excellent nutricious comfort food. The walls show paintings created by the owner who is a fascinating guy with numerous tales of people he knows from the music business. Very relaxed friendly cafe with comfy seats.

Lovely little café with its own atmosphere, very nice for a breakfast or a brunch. Very good English breakfast, generous portion, good bread and tasty coffee, and the cakes are wonderful! Just tried the pear and ginger cake: it's to die for!

Really nice place. Similar to a few of the other cafe/restaurants on Heaton Road they've got an artsy rustic vibe going on. Food looks and tastes great, but very breakfasty, and not as many lunch options as I would have liked. Will definitely go again though.

Right, now this is an interesting place. High ceilinged interior, mix of chairs and comfy settees. Someone has an interesting, eclectic taste in music. Coffee is good but the food I had was really, really tasty. Many superlatives here, but again someone here can cook.

Cosy place, very friendly. Food was delicious and coffee was great. My 2 year old also enjoyed herself playing with toys and colouring books.

I love this little cafe, it's my happy place! The nicest cakes, outside of my own shop of course 😉 I've tried and the breakfasts are fantastic!

A nice relaxed cafe for a good breakfast or a light lunch. Dogs are welcome so it's a good place to take them after walking in Heaton Park.

Quirky little place, lovely food and reasonably priced. Great coffee and the pancakes with banana and sugared bacon are very good.

Pretty much the best cafe I know -- way, way ahead of the competition. And the most baby-friendly place imaginable, yet still being a place for grown ups. Unique. Wonderful.

best flat white ive had in newcastle and extremely well done eggs benedict. also sports a range of rather weirdly reworked pre-raphaelite paintings which are good for a laugh. much recommended.
