My Mam was born in Laos and she said it's very nice authentic Thai food like back home. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we have tried many Thai restaurants. This is by far the best.

Was recommended this restaurant by the Holiday Inn opposite. It was late on a Monday night and the restaurant was empty (as you would probably expect). We were expecting the food to be bland and asked for some extra hot sauce. We didn't need it as the food was cooked the way it should be - not too hot and very flavourful. This is probably the best Thai meal I have had outside of Thailand (and I have visited several Thai restaurants). If there is any improvements then I would the restaurant not to serve everything together and serve in stages - e.g. starters, mid, mains, etc, but perhaps it was late and that may be why the food came out together. Overall. a great recommendation from the hotel and a fantastic meal.

I recently visited Siam Zaa in Newcastle and had an amazing experience! The restaurant is conveniently located near the train station and right in the heart of the city, making it an ideal spot for a quick lunch or a relaxing dinner. The Thai food here is exceptional - the Tom Yam soup is spicy and flavorful just like in Thailand, and the noodles are simply amazing. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. The staff is friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Siam Zaa to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine in Newcastle. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant!

I normally opt for traditional green and red curries, which you can never go wrong with. However, I recently tried Tom Yum noodle soup and it was simply amazing. Sufficient quantity in a large bowl along with rice noodles and stir fried vegetables. The soup is so delicious you will want to finish it to the very last drop. However, if you are a vegetarian, just as a matter of precaution for you, I want to add that the soup has a whole boiled egg. Just to give you a heads-up. You can either ask not to put it in or could take it out whole before eating. The best thing is value for money. You won't feel how much you get to eat in the price given.

Lads Newcastle weekend dinner Visited for a meal on our family weekend out in Newcastle and we were so happy and pleased to dine here at an independent business. The food for once was so much more authentic compared to many Thai food restaurants in England. I didn’t give it 5 stars because my food could’ve been slightly spicier & I just wanted more of the crispy pork!! ! The beer on tap was great too. Keep up the great service, food and work Siam Zaa! Kop Khun Kaab 🙏🏽

Visited on 10 April 2023 at 7pm. I’ve been to The Siam Zaa before but it was my first time trying their Mu Kathra/Mookata offering - a barbecue and hot pot all in one. We ordered the meat platter which came with chicken, pork and beef as well as a basket of vegetables (like cabbage), glass noodles and an egg. We also ordered a portion of mamie noodles. The platter also came with the option of choosing two sauces and we went with the peanut sauce and chili sauce. The broth that was offered was a chicken broth which was very flavorful. The meat was tender and marinated well! The sauces we chose were delicious and not overly spicy. This platter would definitely be enough for two people but as we were a group of three, we added on two more portions of meat as well. There was also free refill for the broth whenever it ran low. Overall, a very good experience and would go back for their Mu Kathra!

Outstanding! the starters couldn't be faulted, spring rolls, tempura prawns, prawn toast and satay chicken skewers. Mains we had green and red thai green curry's that were delicious, a pad thai king prawn, also nice but down to preference i feel. Then one of us had ordered the grilled beef but the portion size of this was quite disappointing, that said, it was delicous and we all loved teme

Just recently came back from Thailand and really missed the food. Loved every bit of it, the vegetable spring roll was gorgeous and the red curry with tofu was amazing. Can't wait to go back and try other bits

Food was authentic and plentiful. They brought starters and mains all together which we didn’t mind. The waiter was friendly and polite. When we went on a Saturday at 7 it was very quiet.

Visited Siam Zaa with friends after Zaap rejected us(they closed at 10 but refused to seat us at 8:30pm) Their good was super fresh, 100% 🇹🇭 style, good spice level and overall much more delicious than Zaap. Would recommend highly!! If you are here would recommend the fish!! It was SO GOOD!!

This is largely authentic Thai/Isaan cuisine. Nothing like the chain Thai restaurants. Though there are dishes like the one photographed, there are dishes you may not be familiar with. It isn't particularly busy normally, but you will always be outnumbered by Thais in the restaurant. Follow the chilli ratings. Some 3 chilli rated dishes are pretty spicy. Main course are £9 to about £16,.
