Went for Christmas dinner to this place and I was very impressed with the food. Of course experiences will differ but mine was a good one. I ordered the pork belly which came with an apple pie. Very well cooked and tender meat. The pie was a nice addition and complimented the dish well. Staff were also friendly. The bar does get busy on a Friday night though and thus can be a bit noisy if you're the sort of person who is bothered by this. Would be a good place to get some dinner before hitting the town. Definitely recommend.

Called on a Monday morning with my son for breakfast. Nice welcome and we were able to choose where we wanted to sit (which I always like). Service very efficient and friendly. Food was excellent and the coffee good. Eggs Royale and Eggs Benedict ordered and did not disappoint.

steak was a bit too cooked so I may suggest rare or medium rare. But drinks and the fried salmon are tasty. Risotto is also good. Though as a non native, I found the menu a bit hard to understand, which made me thought it was 10.95 for two people. Actually it's 10.95 for two dishes(a starter and a main). So a bit pricy.

Great place for a drink or food. I would highly recommend the breakfast menus. This pub has an upmarket feel in line with other bars sited on Grainger Street.

Love the food & drinks here. Always a good atmosphere. The piano player knocking out 80's hits. 👌🏻 The only thing that lets it down for me, is slow service at the bar. Oh! It always seems to be cold.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. First two visits the food was spot on, steak perfectly cooked. Third visit ordered a medium steak but was over cooked. Hopefully was just a one off. Recommended!

A return visit to this venue. This occasion, we were only a party of 8. Having pre-ordered we were looked after very well. The service was prompt and friendly. It is evident that the bulk of early diners were theater bound and by 7.30 the restaurant was relatively quiet. Food was V.G. and nicely presented. Having met at 18.30. our party were on their way, fed & watered by 21.00. All very pleasant.

Great big open space around a circular bar. Good selection of wines, spirits and beers. Good honest food. VIP area which can be booked for parties. Excellent afternoon teas. Staff great and so helpful. No loud music so you get to catch up with your friends. Trendy place for couples and groups. Situated in Grey Street, Newcastle it has easy parking for designated drivers, or easy transport links if you you're having a sherbet or two. One of my favourite choices.

Ordered full English breakfast. Nicely done, had poached instead of fried eggs... Perfect! Firm on the outside and runny inside.. mmm! The Laphroaig of smokey bacon... Again perfect! And the price is just right... Don't be deceived by the richly elegant decor, you get what you pay for. I recommend it. Oh, and the staff are relaxed and hospitable; friendly service.
