A lovely pub with great food and doggie friendly too. Popped in for a spot of lunch with my partner, baby and dog. Vicky was chatty and friendly behind the bar when we came in and offered us some drinks staight away. For mains we had the burger and the pork belly both outstanding followed by an Eton mess each. Great tastey food and good portion sizes.

Our new local. We discovered The Victory a couple of weeks ago after hearing about the refurb and some good word of mouth reviews. Having nearly always stuck to the high st, this definitely takes first place for our choice of local pub. Excellent wines, hubbys favourite Pale Peculiar on draught (which is always expertly poured apparently) and the food is delicious. Huge perk is that we can bring our dog Henry inside to enjoy this place just as much as we do.

Choosing the Victory to celebrate my retirement was the best decision I could have made. Had a fantastic day. Exceptional efforts made by all the staff to ensure my party was extra special. Brilliant Live musicians kept us all entertained. Special mention to Honore, Vicky and Rachel for making us feel welcome and creating a perfect event.

Had lovely food this afternoon at The Victory. The pub has definitely improved from the last time I was in earlier this year! I had the burger, it was well presented and very tasty! Others had fish and chips which looked lovely, steak baguette and chicken burger all throughly devoured ☺staff were lovely and friendly. The pub has a nice atmosphere. I will be back.

Lovely food - ordered duck pancakes and chicken strips to start and burgers, flat bread pizza and salmon. All were delicious and presented very well. Bonus as it was quiz night- great for all ages. Brought our lab with us which was lovely that we could do that. Looking forward to the next visit for sure

We visit this smashing pub everytime we are in Newcastle as its near our daughter's uni accomodation and now her uni house. Very dog friendly, nice choice of real ales and we always have lunch. The food is always spot on which is why we continue to return again and again.

Fab impromptu Sunday lunch yesterday. There were 5 of us and we'd not booked and even though it was very busy the staff looked after us and made sure we got a table. The roast beef was delicious and the Yorkshire's were huge! Thanks very much, we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I didn't get photographs of the food but can confirm that it was of excellent quality and enjoyed by all. A small, traditional English pub with great staff, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Loved all the dishes that we chose and went back another couple of times while staying in the area. Def recommend the Chicken & Halloumi skewers and also the fresh homemade chips. 🥰

On the off chance when passing me and my family went into The Victory pub for some lunch. The food was fleshly cooked and really tasty - It did take slightly longer to come out because it was being freshly made which we didn't mind, was worth the wait! The staff were really child friendly and couldn't do enough when waiting on us. You can also take your dog in. We will definitely be returning, Quality little find.

Brilliant time at the Vic on NYE. The service from the man with the flowery shirt was impeccable as always; charming lad he was so very helpful, I had the cheese savoury sandwich and it was the best thing I've ever eaten, would definitely recommend for the scran and the crack belter little boozer

Really good vibe, warm staff and atmosphere, great selection of pints, and though I didn't have the Sunday lunch, it looked lush

It'a a pub. It smelt, felt, and dealt like one. They were playing the 1975's first album when i walked in, which was confusing.

Very friendly - I live close by for 10 years but it's my first time visited. Don't know why I did go there last years but certainly I would love to go from now on.

A really great pub. Well worth a visit. Friendly staff, a nice selection of ales, music and quiz nights. Very popular for meals, especially Sunday lunch so I advise you reserve a table or go early. Their food is fresh and delicious. Tried their spicy Italian flatbread pizza recently, and it was fantastic.

Great experience, first time at this location. Very welcoming staff, well kept bar areas even had blankets for customers feeling the chill! Prices very reasonable for the area and close to bus and metro routes.
